Needed a router that would reach throughout my house. This one definitely does. It teaches all the way across the yard.

I had the N600 model but wanted more range so I upgraded to the N900 version. I've found the Genie app also quite useful.

The N900 is amazing. I bought it for it's range because I live and network in an apartment complex in which I use two apartments, so the distance became and issue with an older router I had. Not so with this one. The throughput is great and the distance is fantastic. Not to mention that the companion setup app is really easy to use and convenient. The design is really high-tech as well. Just a beautiful machine. My only complaint is that the companion app chooses a very generic and easy to guess administrator username and password that you aren't able to change and that could easily be figured out by others. This is also a problem as the companion app simply displays your current password. Give the user the ability to change that and this router would be perfect.

We do not have any internet issues now. When before we were always being dropped. Installation was a piece of cake too.

Overall this is a great unit, highly recommended. The only issue I had relates to how an attached USB external drive is mapped for sharing. I don't believe this is completely a NetGear issue, as it seems to be a fairly common Windows drive share complaint on internet forums, but as I was wanting to use Windows PowerShell scripts to backup my local files, this did not work via connected drives due to an issue setting the Read-Only flag on folders on the mapped USB drive. NetGear support was helpful and pointed me to their 'compatibility list' for approved external drives (and my drive was not on the list) but it sure would've been nice to know there was such a list during my purchase cycle. Nothing on the product packaging says to check such a list before buying an external drive. That said, I'm not sure it would really have mattered based on other research, and I am able to backup from Windows 7 & 8 using the OS backup software vs. a PowerShell scripted method I was using. I am using the non-compatible drive fine just with a different backup approach. On the positive side, the wireless unit itself is rock solid and fast. It has two different wireless channels which is a nice feature.

We needed a faster and more powerful router and that's what we got! Excellent buy!

We had to switch to cable internet from AT&T Uverse because their gateway would not cooperate with my company's VPN. After speaking with the sales rep at Best Buy and emphasizing that compatibility with the VPN was highly important, he suggested this router. It works just fine with the remote network, and the speed and range are as expected.

Purchased this NETGEAR N900 wireless router along with a Motorola SB6121 Cable Modem. Very pleased with the combination.

I originally purchased a linksys router and it ran pretty slow while running multiple computers at the same time. I went back and returned it, to buy the N900 and it was amazing! We have couple of gaming consoles in the house and sometimes they are run simultaneously, the router handled it well, in addition to the great distance it provides.

This was an upgrade from the older N300 router model. I had issues with the WiFi signal dropping out completely and wanted better range and throughput as well. This router definitely has both better range and throughput; however, I still have occasional issues with the WiFi signal dropping out completely for unknown reasons. I can't find any interfering signals and there seems to be no pattern to it, but it is a minor annoyance at best. All in all a decent, but no outstanding router.

Good router for beginners. Instructions are good to follow, however, instructions for the Dual Band are not very clear.

Bought this unit to replace my previous Netgear N900. During a nasty electrical storm, there was some kind of surge (not electrical, but through our ISP) and stopped working. Because this unit was so effective in covering our 4000 sq ft house, I simply bought another one. Easy to install and it works. Just hope it doesn't blow out again!

I love this router. Easy to access the password at the ease of a button. The router runs twenty four seven. Have not have any problems with it. I bought it because the last one I had some how fried and I could not even access it. I like net gear routers I do not buy any others. It's I'd great to connect to and my service is really fast

This is a very good product! It was very easy to set up and compatible with concast

If you need a wireless router to cover the whole house, this will do the job nicely. My home is 2400 sq ft. It has steel siding. I can watch YouTube videos on my cell phone while sitting in my neighbors garage. Netgear did an excellent job with this router.

old router would not keep phone working or allow other devices to work properly; the new router has solved the problem

The netgear router was easy to install. Took it out of the box, plugged it in and the network was connected again.

I've had this router for about a month now and I'm very impressed with speed and sustained performance. I upgraded to this model for better gaming and streaming performance, but the most noticeable difference is with the strength and integrity of the connection. I have not experienced any performance issues...worth the $$$$

Easy set up to connect to modem. Works much better than router I rented from company. No more dead spots upstairs!

This product finally is matching the speed of the signal I am receiving from Time Warner as my internet provider.
