Our 6-year old router was starting to show signs of age, and with iPhone, iPad, Netflix, wireless laptop and printer, we decided to upgrade. The Best Buy sales person recommended this router based on the size of our home and location of the router. We couldn't be more pleased. Installation was a snap and all of our gadgets started working better. Before when streaming Netflix, I thought the slowness in loading a movie was because of the size of movie and everyone else was viewing movies on a Friday or Saturday night. Now the movies load up quickly and there are no times when it stops and restarts. Love it.

reasonable price, easy to install, and works great.

I am not a tech person. I just plugged it in, followed the directions and within minutes I was up and running. I will say it is important to do the router login as instructed and update any hardware and software and then this thing is super easy and fast.

Replaced a Cisco router with this one. Great range.

This router was very easy to install and works great

It has a little better range than the n600 but not much more for 50$ more. I don't know how it would do in a large two story house because I live in a double wide trailer but the router is in one end of the house and if I go to the other end with my phone to the bathroom the signal fluctuates from to 2 bars down to just the little dot but I've always been able to watch tv cable app on my phone without any issues. The funny thing is I can get enough signal to stream Spotify or Pandora 300 feet from my house when I'm mowing the lawn. I know it's all wifi because I use my old phone with no service so I don't ruin my good phone the n600 I had previously could the same thing, but I get a little better signal when I go next store in my parents house with the n900 than I did with the n600, they don't have wifi and I can't get internet with t mobile service inside our houses so I need a wifi signal.

I researched routers online, but there were so many that I didn't know what to do. I did learn though that Netgear was a good Router. I get nervous when I have to do something computer oriented that is out of my comfort zone and I remember the difficulties I had setting up my last router. So I went to Best Buy to just look. Next I spoke to this very nice sales guy and he asked me what I'm doing on the computer (no movies, only internet, videos and email) so he recommended this router and said it was a easy set up. I purchased the router and still being apprehensive about the easy set up, I gave it a try and it was EASY. I am very happy that I chose this router and would recommend it to anybody.
