Wireless on this router is blazing fast compared to my previous Netgear N300 product. When paired with an N900 adapter on my kids' computers, speed of connection has almost doubled. Only issue, which really is not a big surprise, is limited range of 5G. Speed drops when only about 30 feet away, and is unusable on different floor (2.4 works fine, though). Overall, a worthwhile upgrade.

It was time to upgrade. The reviews showed the netgear to be among the best. I loved the ease of setup and had no problems with my wireless devices connecting. The only problem I had was range. My router is in one end of my house, and the smart TV in the other. Could not keep consistent signal to the TV.

Old router kept dropping the wifi, not this one! Works like a charm. Using both the 2.4 and 5 mhz. Good through the wifi hasn't dropped out once.

This router was purchased after my old router finally died. Upon purchase the setup was easy and everything was up and running in a few minutes. Since installation my download and upload speed has increased and I am very satisfied with the performance.

Handles the load nicely, easy to install. Used for audio streaming mostly.

This product is awesome. With previous modems, someone was always getting kicked offline. Now everyone in my home can have 2-3 electronics connected to Internet at the same time and no one gets kicked off. My husband and I logged into one and kids use the other one. It's awesome and not an eye sore.

Easy to set up, fast wireless Internet, and ability to set up wireless printer

Bought it to replace a faulty D-Link DIR-655. That router was matched to a D-Link range extender and even so could not get full coverage in our home. The NETGEAR N900 covers all the house, including the backyard, without the need for a range extender. We use the range extender now as a wireless client to connect our old laser printer (wire connected before). No more wires in our network.

This router works great. I really like the USB feature. I can be used as a central distribution point. Also the dual steaming works great.

My Netgear 4300 died after 3 yrs of 24/7 use. Needed longer range up and down. Excellent for HD reception. Have 8 wi-fi appliances receiving from it with no problems. Setup a snap. No need to get the more expensive 6200 and 6300 . .... Their send receive/receive no better and don't have USB 3.0 either.

strong signal and fast. for the $$$ this is a very good router

The router we went with this time around was the netgear n900 dual band wireless n router. It has 5-port gigabit Ethernet switch, color black.

The range on this unit was not all that great. Moved it from its original location to get a good connection to my room and still no dice. Had a range extender and that didn't maintain a constant connection. I ended up returning it spending an extra hundred and got the Netgear Nighthawk. Now that has range for days and is putting out speeds as if I was hard wired.

This is such a nice router and it works amazingly well. We have 3 computers 2 on one end of our house and 1 on the other end - opposite corners of our home which is 2300 sq ft in a rectangle form. We have had no problems with communication or speed.

I had to return this since I purchased the wrong thing. Gotta say the return process was a breeze. I appreciate Best Buy making returns easy.

I purchased the Netgear wireless router at the recommendation of the Best Buy representative who helped me. He obviously knew his stuff, as he confidently gave me options to get my set up together. And isn't it all about the options?? I got it home and set it up. It was very easy and in minutes I had my wifi running like a charm! I am very happy with the product and service!

Bought a different brand of router and had trouble from day one, went to best buy and was recommended that Netgear would work on my MAC laptop

This router is great for home users that need to stream video for their wifi TV's or PC's and have multiple users online at the same time. It allows you to have secure wifi and guest privileges for visitors and the neat, built in app let's you see who and what's connected to your network and internet portal. Overall, a great upgrade for home users and at a very good price too.
