    Upgraded to N900, previous router wireless function stopped working. I was able to unplug old system. Connect and plug in new unit. Sync'd up quickly. Netgenie installed latest update software. My skillset is very basic computer user. I like the two USB connections to allow memory stick use for shared storage. I can allow my wife access for her laptop to view those picture or music files. Cool

    TECHNICAL SUPPORT PERSON WAS FOREIGN, COMMUNICATION HEADSET WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY AND SO I GOT FRUSTRATED WITH HIM OVER THE PHONE, EVENTUALLY AFTER A FEW SHOUTS AND VERIFICATION OF INFORMATION, MY PROBLEM WAS RESOLVED. ERROR MESSAGE SAID THAT MY COMPUTER WAS NOT CONNECTED TO THE ROUTER. THEREFORE I HAD TO REBOOT SYSTEM AFTER A FEW FAILED ATTEMPTS TO READ INSTRUCTIONS OF THE QUICK GUIDE.

    This has been a very disappointing router. I owned the "v1" edition and had very little problems with it. When I needed to purchase a new router, I naturally picked up the same one, but note that this one is V2. Since I've had it, it's been very buggy. When I initially turned it on, the router would freeze up after about 45 seconds. I was able to identify the problem being related to the "genie" wizard, so if I skipped that, I could get into the router if I was quick enough. I've had other problems related to the access control, which works in a hit and miss fashion. Sometimes it will allow you to block or unblock a device, other times it won't. Overall not recommended.

    Vast improvement over previous Netgear Router which used to cut out all the time and require constant restarts. This one combines Netgears abilities to provide easy install with reliable performance, even in a large house with 8 or more devices simultaneously connected (4 laptops, 2 IPods, 3 IPhones, 1 XBox).
