If you think you can call Netgears customer service line, good luck because you will be speaking to a Philippine's national that can barely speak English and I had to hang up. I ended up getting a computer tech to help make this work correctly. If you follow instructions, it will work but when you're router updates, it will not keep the connection to the extender and it will go down. I just plugged this into my router and extended my signal. I also bought a second extender to connect to my first one to spread signal upstairs. Remember that your extended needs to sit high to shoot signal effectively. It's like an umbrella. If you put and an umbrella on the floor it wil not give you enough protection from the rain. If I was told about the "mesh" system I would've paid extra and if would be more reliable than Netgear.

IF my router and my smart TV were in the same room with no walls and less than 10 feet apart, this extender MIGHT work. However, since that was not the case, the poorly performing product failed miserably. Set-up was relatively simple. The 'Help' provided by NetGear was non-existent. Help consisted of being redirected to a FAQ section that did not address my issue at all. An email to NetGear resulted in a reply that directed me to send an email detailing the issue - which is what I wrote in the initial email! I would not purchase or recommend anyone else purchase this product. Ever.

Use this to extend my signal out to my shed 150 ft away. Great signal range extender!

When adding and extender make sure it is compatible with your wireless modem. Net gear is a top performer.

All other WiFi extenders gave failed us but this one works perfectly. Definitely a good buy

Based on the configuration of my home this just didn't work so I returned it. My main router is in one corner of my home and the next nearest location that I could place this device is too far away for it be effective. It is the highest rated unit so I am sure it is good. It just didn't work for my home.

This is a great extender. The wired access point option is great with 2.4 & 5ghz broadcasts.
