I decided to pay a bit more and I'm glad I did. I ran a speed test on two machines sided by side, one wired, one wireless - they both scored the same.

I bought this to use as a home access point to extend my home WiFi network. It's connected via ethernet and is really fast. A must have for a tech savvy home.

I have the cable modem downstairs and the extender up stairs and it works perfect

Once I got this set up I was so pleased as to how I was able to hardware my PlayStation 4 to this. Ultimately fixed all of the problems I was having.

We had issues with our wifi reaching all the points in our house. The employee assured me that this was top of the line, and it has helped some, but going to articles from pc news this is not top of the line as i was told and is not adept at handling the higher speed wifi that we have

I tried this unit and nighthawk ex7300. I would 150 Mbps with this unit but only 15 Mbps from the more expensive ex7300. This one is the clear winner.

Easy to set up and it has helped to get me internet at a faster speed in a different part of the house!

I would have rated 5 stars, but instructions did not advise to used media prioritization tool for router (mine is Linksys AC 1750) as available to give this Nighthawk Ac1900 Dual-band Gigabit Wi-fi Range Extender (device name Readyshare) top media priority for bandwidth use with my router. Until I did this Wifi extender's signal strength widely fluctuated, often even to zero (as measure on my android app Wifi Analyzer 3.10.1-L) and whatever devices using extender would loose signal.

In theory this should work absolutely perfectly. We're in a 2 bedroom apartment and our Spectrum internet is hit or miss. The Wifi signal got better for a bit but it would also drop out so my guess is that this was overkill and I think caused more wifi interference than we had before. I ended up returning it. If/When we get a house I'll look into getting a range extender.

We were having difficulty with our cable network up stairs in the spare bedrooms. We purchased wi-fi range extender and the problem was resolved.
