    Wish it spread a bit further - you have to have it positioned right for it to reach it's full distance. Not the most convenient, but we're making it work.

    This wire less router helped solve some of our connection issues but not all. We still have trouble getting Netflix and other apps on our Smart TV

    We used it for a while and found out we need an eero WiFi system instead; we love the eero much better!

    Lousy experience

    So, wow - this little guy seemed to really help boost my wifi signal and I didn't have a lot of struggle installing it - however, last fall (2019) Netgear sent me an email saying I needed to download a new security patch. I take those notices seriously. I did the download and it killed the equipment. I was just a few weeks out of warranty (of course) and I refused to pay for their service. I tried to reach their customer service multiple times in multiple ways - including tweeting to them. No response. Ever. My basic router is also Netgear. I will not buy from Netgear again. If their customer service stinks, I go elsewhere. Tech companies really need to understand this. If they don't invest in quality customer service, their products are virtually worthless.

    Don’t like that the antenna’s are loose and don’t stay in position. Instead they fall to the side.

    Very Disappointed

    I have owned Netgear products for over 15 years and have been one of their strongest supporters, however after two back to back disappointments I am looking at moving to another brand. This extender was set up to provide a better single from my modem which was in another room. I identified the best position based on signal strength which was just outside the room where the router is located and got it all setup. The bad part is the modem had a much better signal than the extender. The modem is a 1GB router and I was getting about 50MB on the computer. With the extender I was only getting 10-12 MB, even though it was closer and had an excellent signal from the modem to the extender. I experienced the same problem on one I had purchased for work at my office. I returned both. My confidence in Netgear is gone!!!

    The company does NOT have a dedicated Website to initialize the Wifi Extender! Go ahead and purchase if you want to spend hours on Set-Up!

    Works as advertised, but the range isn't as good as I had hoped. My original ASUS router had better range than this extender and the router.

    It worked fine at first, but wifi keeps dropping here and there and have to keep going through networks setting. Laptop is still slow at times.

    First go with range extender disappointing

    After installing this device as directed it was very unstable. The -2 performance was fine but the -5 performance would cease altogether in a few days. I was not allowed to talk to a technician until I registered the product (which I did) and the agent worked with me for about 90 minutes. After that, she said to return it to the store and get another one. Which I did. I will install it shortly and report status. Cannot recommend at this time.

    complicated setup, poor range

    Bought this to upgrade a 10 year old Apple airport system. Mistake. I Purchased the AC1900 router along with 2 Ac1900 extenders that I configured to work as wired access points. Setup was a nightmare. The Nighthawk app is compatible with the router but not the extenders so I had to find their IP addresses and set them up via the web. Netgear claims 10,000 sq ft of coverage for one extender - in my somewhat rural home, I’d get 100 Mbps standing next to the router (I have 100Mbps service), sitting 50’ away, LINE OF SIGHT, It’d be less than 10Mbps. My 10 year old Gen 2 Apple airport had better range. Support was there but the person I encountered seemed largely uninterested. Maybe these things do work well as reviewed in so many plaves, but after a week tinkering, working with support and reading endless networking setup web pages, I gave up, returned it and bought a Eero system that I set up in 15min, has better coverage and excellent speed.

    Awful. Disconnects almost daily from the main router even though the signal to the extender is good and when it is working, will broadcast at 85-110 MPS. Have to reboot the linksys extender almost daily.

    I was advised that an AT&T microcell tower would solve my problem. So I returned item and received a free microcell tower from AT&T.
