Good Performancer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The unit was easy to set up. The instructions were very clear. It improved the reception as hoped in the part of the house that is farthest from the router. It accomplished what it was purchased to do.

Great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It works great for us. We put it upstairs and it sends the WiFi signal through our entire home and .5 acre property. My tablet was able to pick up signal still (although weakening) for about 150' from the house!

Okay buy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I prefer the eero system but it works nicely. Easy to set up and manage. Not a fan of how it works going down stairs.

Tried Asus, Netgear much better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Went from the asus attempt at routers back to netgear. Maybe I had a lemon, but the asus router I had before the nighthawk underperformed specs. Happy to say the nighthawk delivers on promised speeds.

Worked for my needs
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a powerline networking configuration setup in my home that has been working fine for many months for basic Netflix streaming and whatnot. But once I installed a NAS on the other end of that network, I realized I was only pushing around 15MB/s of transfer which is just too slow. So I bought this range extender to help bridge the gap and remove the powerline networking since I knew my wireless signal was very strong. So far it has been working solid and allows me to get closer to 50MB/s in local transfer speeds. No lag or dropped connections and I was lucky enough to snag the last one (in the back no less) at my local Best Buy. It was the same price as the cheapest I could find online.

Works with Apple Extreme
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had to buy this when my apple to apple extender failed. I've only had it for a few months, but it works better than an apple to apple extender. I use this to extend an apple extreme router to a guest house.

Great access poit / extender
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I usually hard wire these but I've also used them in fast lane mode, and they work great either way. I've also used one for a wireless bridge and that worked well too.

Best extender I’ve found
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Linksys AC 1200 extender. It failed and Linksys wasn’t willing to replace it for free. This extender is great! It works and allows me to use my wifi without any issues

Buyer Beware
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For those looking to use this as an AP rather than an extender. The advertising is deceptive. It uses the terms mesh WiFi, smart roaming, and One WiFi Name, which are all very good things to have for a single home network that can extend to dead spots in your house. However, these features are only available when you set up as an extender. In my case I have wired ethernet connections throughout my home, so using an extender is not a good fit especially when it cuts in half your available bandwith. It's great to increase your range but your internet speeds will suffer. So I was looking forward to setting up an AP to avoid those problems with extenders. And I was looking forward to having an AP mesh with my existing router under a single SSID and password with smart roaming as I move throughout the house. Unfortunately the advertising used is too good to be true for those looking for that with an AP, as all those features are non-existent during the AP setup. I'll probably be returning this and sell my existing router in favor of a true mesh system, like the eero or Orbi.
