The old extender was dated and providing patchy service at best. Haven't had any issues that weren't explainable (the router got unplugged in the main house or something). Service is as consistent and fast as being in the main house. Fairly easy setup as well!

Great extender

Due to old wiring in our house, we are limited to the amount of bandwidth we can get. This extender has made the entire house Wi-Fi ready and has enabled us to use numerous devices flawlessly. Of course, you will need to reset on occasion, but that happens with all technology.

Installed as an AP and it works great.

The one issue I have toward this product is the same that I have with every consumer Netgear router, AP, and range extender: the fact that you have to create the security questions just to set up the device. If I want to chance having to factory reset a device due to me forgetting a password, that should be my choice.
