    Installed this extender because I had a few bad WiFi spots in my house. My existing cable modem/router just wasn't giving me good coverage. I hooked up the extender using an Ethernet cable and it had sufficient power so I just turned off the transmitter on my original router and just use the extender.

    All and all seems to be working ok but I had to plug my devices directly into the unit or didn't help boost the signal but then I have at&t and the modem is down stairs did a speed test and test results said my internet is 50% slower than everyone in the USA. Switching to spectrum!

    I like Netgear and I have used many of their products in the past. This one functions well. However, the antennas on the back are easily broken at the point of attachment. One of mine broke within the first 7n days of owning it. Being broken has not affected the function.

    We have dead zones in the house using Xfinity supplied modem/router. Had tried another brand of range extender without seeing any appreciable increase in coverage. Read the reviews and tried this Netgear nighthawk ac1900 and have decent coverage all through the house now. Just wish I had caught a sale but it is worth the cost I paid to have good wifi access..
