We had to use an cat-6 cable for awhile just to get the signal going from the main router. Then the unit began working. After a while the cable was disconnected and the unit worked fine wirelessly.

I guess old router gave out. It kept dropping wifi. The detachable antennas mean I can still connect my outdoor wifi antenna.

The NETGEAR Nighthawk is a great Wi-Fi extender for home use. It's powerful, easy to install, and easy to configure. I've learned not to cheap out on Wi-Fi equipment - get more power and bandwidth than you need because eventually, you will need it!

I had cameras outside in the backyard and in the front of the house that had very low reception if I moved my modem and wifi to one side of the house one of them would work and the other (soso). I thought of getting a better router then but at the last minute decided to get a mesh extender. I can't say I am not happy because it does what it is supposed to do but I decided to also buy a new router since the extender can only extend what it gets and maybe that was my problem to start with.

I was having issues streaming in certain rooms. I purchased the nighthawk to see if it would improve. Since using the nighthawk I haven’t had any issues.

I love Netgear but this router didn't quite do the job for me. I have a .33 acre lot! And need wifi towards my back yard, just not the router for me. It didn't give me the full potential I was looking for.

This Netgear Wi-Fi range extender works great at improving our Wi-Fi capabilities. It performs just as described in the product write up. We have not experience any issues, just signal and functional Wi-Fi improvements.

This product is excellent. I am streaming wi-fi from another house about 40 feet away, and as long as it is as HIGH up and near the WINDOW facing the other house, I get excellent wi-fi, and am able to stream Netflix perfectly.

I live in a three floor walkup in Queens. My landlord provides wifi but it's on the first floor and I can't get any signal where I am. So he agreed to pay for an extender. Installed it and now I have no issues.

Trying to get a better internet reception throughout the house and it seems to be working. I have had a couple of times that it went off line, probably because of the weather but with a quick reboot it works fine.

The product did it end up working for me, my connection to my game console kept automatically disconnecting every other while on a daily basis and I could not play my games in peace! The nighthawk did in fact boost the speed, but it came with an untrustworthy connection.

It took a while to connect and after that it was easy. Note do not call Netgear for help as they like to pull serious scam (at a cost) to clients that the call. Today is is working as expected

Used it for extending the wifi from downstairs to upstairs and we are still getting a strong signal to be able to stream movies in multiple locations at once. Also being able to have 2 separate wifis is nice as well.

Love it works great has very long range have big 3,000 ft house supplies Wi-Fi upstairs and downstairs love it

I was looking for a product that could extend my wifi all over my house and have kids play their video games online at ease with no lag, or tether, but sadly this product is not worth the price. It was working for the three months, but now it gets randomly disconnected through the main modem, and the only thing the could do is to stream their videos. also I was having trouble connecting to the 5G network all the time.

Sadly, I have had to update or replace my wifi equipment frequently due to them giving out. This one, however, has lasted now longer than others, and I have zero issues with it.

This model pushed a atrong wifi signal to the far end of my 4400 sq ft home. All of the original wifi settings stayed the same so it looks like one network no matter where you log in. 5 stars

It works for the most part but if you want a real extender without shortcuts gets yourselves and Orbi or Eero cause this does the bare minimum. It helps get the connection everywhere but dips in and out and sometimes loses the 5Ghz connection completely. House is only 2400 sq ft so it should be covered but the connection isnt that stable or fast when using it. I have gigabit as well and when connected to main router speeds are 4 to 5x as fast.

I bought this because I installed the Video Door bell system and my router was not staying connected to the door bell. I did not realize the coverage this router would provide through out my house. I love that it actually extends my 5 Ghz.

We actually use this as an extender in conjunction with the Netgear router given by Spectrum. With these two units alone, there’s great coverage in a 6500sf home without issues. Setup was easy and reliability seems great.
