It has separate bands for 2.4 and 5ghz, with the capability of making separate passwords for both as wel as creating a guest WiFi connection. If you get this router, definitely get the Nighthawk app on your phone to control the settings and power wirelessly. It even tells you if there’s issues and helps automatically troubleshoot on the fly. Pretty handy!
