Great Router for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this router to replace one that was having a hard time with all of my connected devices. Originally set it up with the smart connect function but found out my Roomba and a few other devices wouldn't correctly connect. Switched to the 5G /2.4G setting and everything works great. No lag or dropped streams anymore.

Good Speed but NO Parental Control
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setup is easy. I get good coverage and speed through out my 2400 soft house. The biggest drawback is, it does not have any Parental Controls. I have young kids and I'm surprised this is the only Router without Parental control features. Have to return it for that reason.

Perfect - especially if you've had hacker issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the perfect wireless router. It comes with an SSID & Password written on the bottom. You can change that, so it's not easy for everyone that walks by to get on your network. There is NOT a WPS button for instant linking when a WPS button is pushed. You can also view what devices are on your network.

Fast router with good signal
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.2 things I've found with this router. Don't enable "smart connect" because many of your devices won't be able to connect. Don't expect to be able to do complex scheduling, as the software doesn't support it. Otherwise, this device has been a great purchase.

Best router, if your connection keeps dropping
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the standard stupid cable company router. I got this bad boy and hooked it up to that and it works so fine. I get signal in my balcony and my 4K videos looks awesome. I do recommend you check your internet package because if you have less than 100mpbs download then you probably don’t need this.

Got it on sale
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got it about half off for under $100. I feel like that's about what it is actually worth. It's been a nice upgrade from the old $30 Linksys router I had and works well for gaming. That being said, the smart wifi isn't very "smart" at all in my opinion so I had to disable it and use two networks instead. Not ideal.

Good, but setup...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Now that it's up and running I'm glad I made the switch from the AC1900, but like the AC1900 it took a 2 hour call with Netgear to get it running. I had to spend over $100 to access to Netgear service for a year for what should be a plug-and-play operation--most annoying. My suggestion to Netgear: a consider how much $$$ you're getting from the service contracts vs. the frustration people like me have when having to pay over $100 to get the system initially set up. If it took a Netgear tech over 2 hrs with full control of my computer to figure out the problem (after a previous 2 hrs with the similar AC1900), how can you assume an amateur like me will be able to do the set up without help?

It's ok
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well I purchased the r7450 originally and spent 3 hours with netgear support and couldn't get that working with my sb8200 modem. I got another and same problem. So returned them both to Walmart and got this one. Guess what? This one wouldn't work with my modem either until I set my IP, gateway, and dns manually. So when my IP changes it won't work either. I tried there automatic setup and also a manual setup with dhcp. Neither worked and I'm a computer Tech, plus like I said I worked with their support for 3 hours. They couldn't get it to auto detect or manually work either. The work around is find out what your ip, dns, and gateway is and set them statically. I would recommend it because it is capable of fast wireless and a single SSID for 2.4 and 5ghz. I think netgear will patch the issues it has with arriss sb8200 10gb modems in the future.

So Good!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great and my internet is definitely more reliable and faster after upgrading to this router. Only problem I seem to have is that my older tv (had for about 5 years) doesn’t play well with the new router. It’s constantly losing connection, but all other devices are great!

Great router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was an awesome deal for a nighthawk, only available at bestbuy. Setup was easy using the app, a browser is required for more advance setup. This covers my entire home, from the front yard to the back, all 3 floors. I have it setup on the middle floor. No signal lost or slowdowns.

Great Router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My friend helped me set it up, and so far, it does what it's supposed to do. I haven't taken advantage yet of the full scope of what it's capable of doing, but I can tell it's a good quality product. Can't go wrong with Netgear, and even better that I scored the black Friday deal!

Get It!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this after needing a new wifi router for our new home, roughly 1400sq ft. Covers all of inside of home without a problem and some. Like that it has two frequencies 2.5ghz and 5ghz. Got it during a pre-black Friday deal at only $89.99 what a steal. Overall satisfaction was met.
