This router is fast and was intended to replace my ageing Airport Extreme. Unfortunately, no matter what I did, it would not connect with either Amazon Echo devices, my home automation hub, or my home security hub. It did connect with the PS4, all of the Apple i-devices, and my laptop, and it increased the wireless speed by multiples. But since it wouldn't connect with everything, back it went.

This was super simple to get up and running, however there is no spot to plug in the internet direct cable. We had to keep the original, failing router in order to connect the internet.

We buy it to return the one we have rented from the cable company. But it doesn't have the input to connect the cable box to the router, so we had to return it. I think it's very good if you need it just for the internet.

I brought this hoping it would extend the WiFi all over the house. Especially to rooms that were not getting any WiFi or the WiFi was limited with our router. There wasn’t much of a difference once I installed it.

I bought this on Black Friday and got it hooked up but it wouldn't connect to the internet. I spent 3 hours working on it but it would not connect to the internet. I contacted the Geek Squad and they had me try the same thing I had been doing for three hours, but it still wouldn't connect to the interent. They told me to take to the Geek Squad in the store, which I did, but they couldn't help me either. They told me it was probably a bad router so they ordered a new one. One week later, the second won't connect either, I spent two hours trying make the second router work. I took it back and was told I needed to contact my Cable provider to resend the signal. I took the router home and tried that, but still no internet connection. I finally returned it for a refund.

This got annoyed. It worked fine for a few months. I noticed a slight improvement from my previous older netgear router. Then this starting crapping out every day, sometimes 2x a day which required resetting the router. Not of lot of useful info on Netgear website and sadly, I didn’t buy the protection plan from Best Buy. I went back to my old router which is far more reliable.

App "speed test" doesn't work. Range is decent but half my devices can't connect but they connected to my previous router I rented just fine. I used the "guest network" feature to throw up another access point and the devices can suddenly connect to that but not the other one? Too many issues for how expensive this is. I'd return it if it wasn't a hassle. People say renting is throwing away money but this is worth - at least with renting I can exchange it on moment's notice.

I found this router to be really spotty, I didn't get around to installing it till almost 10 months ago, and it worked okay but would drop connections frequently and led to VPN crashing issues. Seems to have been limited to 500mbps as I could never get speed tests to show results above that in spite of being connected to a 1gb modem. I've since switched to a mesh system and am regularly getting speeds of 900mbps+/-

Not really like it. Got this router when it was oN sale, my boss recommended for me. It works fine but strong like the one of spectrum.

I have only had this extender sa few weeks & I am still unsure just how well it works at this point. So far so good.

The router did not improve my internet speed as I thought it would since my previous router was very old.
