My internet was even slower than with my previous router. This was useless and I ended up returning it.

Didn't work with Verizon Fios. But did have a very strong signal.

I expected better performance... Wifi is not smooth when i watch some video..fraustrating...

Setup is easy. I'm not having a lot of luck on the range though with building penetration.

I have used Netgear routers for many years, and when BestBuy offered this AC2400 router last December for only $89 (supposedly $100 off the regular price!), I decided to upgrade from my 2 year old AC1900 router. However, only 6 weeks after purchase, it has stopped connecting to the Internet. Firmware updates and resetting to factory defaults did no good. Luckily I still had my AC1900 router so put it back in service after wasting many hours troubleshooting the defective AC2400. Now I wonder if the large price drop should have made me think twice about that purchase. I would try to return it, but BestBuy's warranty period is very short, so I am out $89 unless the manufacturer will replace or repair it - which I doubt :(

This router is an absolute waste of time and money. The app you use to control it is remarkably terrible. Literally every single change results in a two minute wait. There have been zero performance increases over the router provided by my ISP, and many of the smart devices I own simply will not connect with this router (an issue I've never once had with the ISP router). When you're dropping money on products that are worse in every way than the "default" option, you've got a piece of garbage on your hands. Don't waste your time. Don't waste your money. This router is terrible.

Is a great router but out of manufacturing.I hate when that happens

I have had previous Netgear Routers; however, my biggest complaint is in actually registering it because I have the same email address for the previous Netgear. Anyway, I contacted support and was on for a long time with resolution promised in 24-48 hours. Never received a resolution. No more netgear routers for me.

Bought two of these routers, one for me and one as a gift. After just two months of use on both routers, the 5ghz would randomly disappear disconnecting all devices for about 30 seconds before coming back on. This happens every few hours but is extremely annoying for streaming and makes online gaming unplayable when you know you will be randomly disconnected at any time. I know this is the router because the signal would disappear for multiple different devices. If it were my internet service or modem I would still have signal but limited access or no internet warning.

This router would drop service a lot. Not the greatest.

Not very reliable for wifi devices. The Wifi keeps dropping the devices and my kids keep complaining about it. I just updated the firmware and no wifi devices will connect now. Called Tech Support and the agent told me their products are not good and I should buy another brand.

This appears to be a new US release from a previously UK release.

Average due to some spots still slow, thinking of returning

I had high hopes as the reviews were stellar. I am convinced they are not genuine. I bought this for black friday and got it for around $90. I hooked it up, configured it, updated it and it worked for less than 5 minutes. It was totally unstable each time I rebooted it. Also, half the time it didn’t show up as an available network even though all relevant lights were on. After 2 unhelpful hours with Netgear’s customer setvice, I gave up. In all, I spent 3 hours. I exchanged it hoping I got a dud. The 2nd unit from Best Buy did the same exact thing. I will return and never buy a Netgear product again.

Was not compatible with my Cox set up. So had to return.

Needed something to help us stream on our Smart tv and explained everything including how my home is set up and he said this would do the trick. It has not and it always buffers when we try to watch something. It was a waste of my money
