Tried to set-up the router but I couldn't! You have to have a cell phone to install it and I don't. Called the company for intallation help. First I couldn't understand them do to heavy Indian accents, The volume of their voices was very low, they insisted that I hard wire a wireless router, Then told me that they couldn't help me and go get a cell phone. My house keeper used here phone, the next day and it took her about 2 hours to get it set up. Now it has lost the password and needs to be re-installed. I have to wait for my house keeper so she can use her phone.

This router did not work very well. We replaced an older netgear with this one and we ended up going with an Orbi upon returning this one. The Orbi is much better in every way.

    Horrible Product, Horrible Customer Service

Do not buy this product. Nothing but issues with it. WiFi keeps dropping and downloads get intermittently slow. Didn't even last a year, and when I called phone support, they told me because phone/online support is no longer valid (only 6 months) even though there is hardware support still active (less then a year old), that I can only purchase a extended 3 year warranty on this to do anything. And that it does not qualify for hardware support because "it still turns on" despite it not working as intended.

I returned the NETGEAR Nighthawk AC2600 and cannot recommend this device unless you are building a new network. Would not connect to non-Netgear devices without purchasing additional hardware. I have a Western Digital NAS and a number of other devices that would not connect. Netgear Customer Support told me I had to buy additional hardware and subscribe to their technical support to get help with non-Netgear devices.

    Wifi Constantly Disconnects

Worked fine for the first 4 days, then the problems began. Wifi Constantly disconnects, usually after 20 - 30 minutes of use. Power down and/or reboot is the only solution. Netgear support was practically useless, and wanted me to ship it back for repair at my expense. Luckily I was within return timeframes at my local Bestbuy store. Replaced with an Asus wifi router, and haven't had a single problem occur.

Failed on software upgrade - connected to APC UPS all the time - no power failures during update . Bricked !! - only 18months of use . Pls stay away from NETGEAR - looks like quality is dropping company cheeping out on h/w and also software. Once the device of out of warranty they can do updates to brick the h/w ???? so we buy new one ?

The title says it all. This router drops all 2.4ghz devices all the time. The SSID is still broadcasting it just won’t let anything connect on 2.4ghz And it doesn’t notify you that it’s dropping things until you go to use them. It’s extremely inconvenient to have to reset the router twice a day so things like your security cameras, amazon key, and ecobees can be used.

Spent over 3 hours trying to connect this router to my Spectrum modem with absolutely ZERO luck! What a waste of time and money. Will be returning and sticking with my Asus. It connected right back up with no problem after I packed this piece of junk back in its box for the return! Don't waste your time if you have a Spectrum modem because it clearly doesn't work with it.

I was excited to get this delivered and going. I connected everything and went through the set up process. Completed the process and...... nothing. Won't connect to the internet and just flashes the power light. Called Netgear and went through all the troubleshooting steps and its defective. I have another one on the way so we'll see how it goes.....

I specifically purchased this to get my router on the main floor of a two story house. It is supposed to be wireless; however, there are no instructions on how to install wirelessly, even on line. I had to hardwire in the basement, just like my previous router. If you want a wireless router, keep looking.

The 2.4 ghz side of the wifi isnt worth 2 cents. I lost 80% of my internet speed. After hours on the phine with tech support trying to double talk and blame my house for the issues, netgear finally said " well maybe yours is defective after all". It goes back today for a refund.

I gave up after spending a couple of hours to get this to work. While it would send a signal it would not connect to my Spectrum modem. Bought it because it was on sale for a very good price. In the past I've had no problems installing other routers.

I ended up returning this router and exchanged it for a Linksys. This one would not connect properly with my internet even after spending hours with technical support. Would NOT recommend this router!
