I needed a DOCSIS 3.1 modem with wifi enable. there are 3 requirements: 3.1, modem, wifi. there are tons of products out there that can meet 2 of my requirements, but this guy meet all three. My download speed is skyrocketing now, and the signal is very strong in my whole house. I highly recommend it. I know it's expensive, but hey, it's worth the money.

In terms of quality and ease of use, its great. I definitely enjoyed the extra range i got while using this over the modem/router i rented from my ISP. BUT!!!!!! DO NOT BUY if you are a heavy Apex Legends player. For some reason this router doesnt work well with the game at all. It gives you a stupid party glitch that forces you to leave and rejoin a party with your friends after every game. And trust me i tried EVERYTHING i could to fix the issue. I had to box it back up and go back to my old modem/router. What a shame.

Needed to upgrade from 3.0 to 3.1 for better service and I always go Netgear because the range of Netgear always seems to outperform others. No difference this time. I have Xfinity service and this work great. I do the standard modem reboot once a week and things are always good.

This thing is a beast. I purchased it so I didnt have to pay rental charges from the cable company. Its been a solid unit, speed is very good, no degradation at all. Getting a good tech on the phone to help install it was the hardest part.

Had a c7000 and had issues with network and wiFi connectivity since it only supported 25 simultaneous connections. I have a 200 MBPS network.
Hardwired and wifi Connections:
Nest thermostat w/5 nest protects, 2 google home, 1 alexa, skydrop controller, 3 tv's hardwired ethernet, 5 arlo Cameras hard wired ethernet, Mac Mini server, Garage IP camera, Dish DVR with 2 wifi Joeys. 2 laptops, 1 desktop, 2 ipads, 2 netgear POE switches, 5 LifX smart lights, 1 Ring, Harmony Remote and Hub.
When company would come I would have issues watching Disney plus or any of the apps and Kids couldnt get on to play games unless I rebooted the c7000 and dropping all connections and re-connecting.
Since the upgrade to this Router modem combo I have had company and kids gaming and have not had any issues at all.
Only complaint is the Nighthawk app does not work with this Model, I had to revert to using the Netgear Genie app which fortunatly I had the download for.

So far, this machine has improved our wifi three fold! Very easy set up! Works with Spectrum. Only been up for two days, but our distance and signal has tripled. Definitely recommend this product. A little pricey, but worth it so far! Best Buy was terrific.

My previous 2 modem/routers had been motorola surboard and they worked well but there was a problem with the last one in that it was not compatible with my Brother laser printer. The netgear works fine with it, but sometimes I come home to find that my my wireless connection from my Mac Mini isn't on. We have 100mb internet and my connection is faster than previous unit. We are running 10 wireless connections in house plus 3 hardwired. Unit was pricey but has capability that my internet provider hasn't rolled out yet

Bought to replace Xfinity provided equipment. Much happier with this modem/router. Range and reliability are superior. Setup was super easy and had no issues at home or with xfinity.

Easy setup, intuitive & straightforward connection to my Comcast Xfinity subscription. Wi-fi coverage in my 2-story home (3300 sq ft) is really solid. With multiple connected devices (TVs, PCs, streaming devices, home automation devices) and the router handles it with ease.

This unit works flawlessly compared to our old Netgear model. Easy to set up. I'm no techie and managed to get it going on my own. Covers our entire home and even in the backyard. No more drop off while streaming. Really pleased with the purchase.

Review of Netgear Nighthawk cable modem router

The Nighthawk cable modem router was relatively easy to set up once I figured out how to do it with the assistance of my cable provider. It doesn't quite provide adequate WIFI coverage on its own for a 4000 square foot house with 2 floors so I used a Netgear extender in combination with the cable modem. Now it provides good WIFI coverage for my house. The only problem I had was when a power outage in my neighborhood occurred. I lost my internet and when power came back on I had to go through the whole process of installing my cable modem router and extender all over again.

We had an Arris surfboard modem/router that went bad after a year an a half. We purchased this Netgear, hooked it up and I was amazed at how much better it was. Before we had download speeds of 175 to 200. With this Netgear we are consistently getting around 300. With the 32 download and eight upload channels we can run every device in the house and never lag...The downside is that it's a bit pricey..

So Far So Good

I recently upgraded my Midco cable internet to 500mbps speed so I needed a DOCSIS 3.1 cable modem. I rented an Arris wireless capable modem from Midco but all of my wifi devices struggled to connect or stay connected. When I called Midco support I was told that there was nothing they could do. This Netgear wireless capable modem was on the Midco approved modem list and it is Docsis 3.1 rated up to 10 gigabit download speed. I installed it yesterday and so far so good. All of my wifi devices connect without struggle and they stay connected. The modem is in my basement but I get good connectivity throughout the house. I recommend this product but I do wish it was less expensive. That is why I am not giving it a 5 on value.

Used to replace the Xfinity Advanced Gateway combo. Easy to setup, although a bit of a hassle to swap the service over through Comcast. You actually have to call Xfinity and have them turn off service to your old modem, and then restart the service through the new one. Up until everyone was sent home and started using more bandwidth, saw similar speeds or better than the Gateway without the monthly fee. Would take just over 2 years of fees to match the price of this device, so if you update every 5 years or so depending on your needs, this will save you money.

This does what I needed it to do. I had the X6 before it started to have problems, but with those problems was an opportunity... For faster internet. After some talking with my internet provider, it was clear what I had to do. Get a new router. This purchase was amazing. 5 computers are hooked up and we're not facing any lag issues in the home, wired nor wireless. The design language is kind of basic compared to the other models that Netgear offers, but it is not a bad thing. The only thing I wonder is if it will have support for the Nighthawk app that is offered on android, as at the moment it is only supported by the Netgear Genie app (but that's just another preference matter entirely)/
