    Was compatible with xfinity service but constant connection is lot not sure if this is purposely done buy xfinity so you dont buy our own equipment

    This is a good cable modem / router, for the money I would like to see stronger coverage. Even with a wireless mesh set up the speeds and coverage area are inconsistent.

    Worked great at first then it has some issues at times where a channel or two will stop working. To get it back you have to reboot a few times etc.

    I've had this for less than a year and constantly have issues. It constantly loses connection and I have to shut off power in order to fix the issue. These issues started about 1month after purchasing. I'm an engineer so I'm extremely tech savvy but still have yet to figure this out. Netgear customer service isn't much help either so I'll be looking for another modem/router combo.

    Nice combo, 2 in 1 cable modem and router together, but that makes it a bit bulky. It takes up to much space, it stands out even next to the 65" TV.

    I was a little disappointed to not be able to use the nighthawk app with this router but it's ok. It did replace my xfinity modem and router.

    This router works pretty well but coverage isn’t as good as it should be. Probably would’ve purchased mesh system instead but oh well.

    Bought this to upgrade my old that quit working after 3yrs. This one worked great at first but stopped working all together after 15 days tryed to reboot even factory reset nothing worked. Had return it and buy different ones. Little advise buy the modem and router separate instead of all in one less problems and you Only have to replace one of them when one goes bad.

    I purchased this item in Aug 2020. Two weeks after purchase, I lost SSID visibility. Troubleshooting for two hours. I packed up the device, then plugged back up one more time. It all came back working fine. It's happened two more times since. Today was the third time and Netgear thinks the device is defective and is replacing it.

    it's was hard to set up, an not fully sure if it's my internet or the netgear but it drops signal alot, an I only have a 580sq ft house.

    BUY A CHEAPER ROUTER !!

    THIS ROUTER DIDN'T WORK OUT FOR ME I BELIEVE IT TO COMPLEX!! IT SAYS YOU CAN HOOK UP 45 GADGETS WHEN I TESTED THE SPEED ON JUST ONE IT READ 5MPS DOWNLOAD AND .5 MPS UPLOAD I PAY FOR 200MPS !!I TOOK THIS ONE BACK TO BEST BUY GOT A NETGEAR AC 1750 FOR HALF THE PRICE AND THAT GET'S 220 MPS DOWNLOAD MAYBE IT WAS DEFECTIVE THE ONE I GOT.

    Awesome for a month...then trash

    Worked soooo great for a month...Netgear firmware update was auto pushed by the ISP and it got stuck in a continuous update loop...Netgear blamed Comcast... Comcast blamed Netgear. After 8 phone calls and 2 days of trouble shooting with techs in INDIA I returned it for a second one. That one did the same thing the day after I got it when they pushed the new firmware. Tech support was horrible. Reboot it. Unplug it wait 30 seconds. Reboot it. Factory reboot. Never got passed the firmware upgrading page. Can’t access any of the router info during the upgrade process. Just says it’s upgrading then you lose connectivity and restarts. Happened with 2 routers and the second one a day out of the box. I looooved it for a month then it went trash. The tech support is pretty non existent

    This is the second Netgear Nighthawk I have purchase within the last year. The last one crashed and I have to send it back for replacement. Meanwhile I had to go and purchase this second one, hopefully it works better than the last. Netgear return & replacement is very difficult to work with!!! It starts with online to phone calls and you pay for postage for their defective product. Best buy was no help!

    I will not be going back to this particular nighthawk. I have had to reset it 6 times just for the internet to grab hold. I called xfinity, watched videos. I am done. I went back to my arris sbg6700ac model. I haven't had so many issues in my internet life. Than I have with the nighthawk(drop).

    I purchased this device for $400 (after tax), thinking it would be a good purchase and support all of our devices. Within 5 months the device started malfunctioning dropping the internet randomly daily. I spent a lot of time with our ISP trying to figure out the issue and the device was faulty. I called Netgear for support and they wanted to charge me $150 to provide support. My device has hardware warranty but in order for them to honor the warranty they need to check if the hardware is faulty which requires their support and a fee of $150. The apps and software the Netgear offers to manage your network and perform other simple operations is bad and doesn’t work half the time. Their support is really bad. This company is outdated. Buy a better device from a different company don’t waste your money on devices that won’t work and get bad support from Netgear. Trust me. This is my 3rd device from Netgear and I’ve been disappointed on all of them.
