Not really worth the price-no real noticeable difference than the older model/different make from RCN.

Worked great with wired speeds. Had issues day one with wifi speeds. Talked to netgear customer service multiple times waiting on hold for at least an hour every time. Had to constantly change the wifi channels to not even get 300Mbps on wifi. Ended up returning it for a different one.

    Don't buy for Comcast Business

These devices being sold at Best Buy with "XFINITY" logos are misleading. I've purchased multiple modems and routers now that are NOT compatible with XFINITY internet on Comcast Business accounts. To top it off, I had to travel for work for more than 2 weeks and when I returned to the story to return the unit that was not compatible with Comcast Business, I was unable to get store credit or a refund because it was past 15 days. I was required by work to travel, and now I'm required to keep this incompatible unit. I also purchased the 5 year warranty. I guess Best Buy is the last man laughing.

Wi fi connections issues. Wi Fi speed is slow

Bought this device after upgrading to 1000 Mbps Comcast plan. Overall it was ok first day but from second day i got issues with my all devices not to be able to connect to wifi sometimes. Even with forgetting network and entering right password i was getting "Can not connect". Ethernet speed was close to 900-950 Mbps and quite stable which is good, but Wi Fi was in the range from 35 Mbps to 500 Mbps sometimes. Super unstable Wi Fi speed on all devices Very bad experience. Will change to Arris and see if that one works better

Nice modem/router but DOES NOT WORK WITH XFINITY

Xfinity users beware. It has been well documented on the internet that this modem/router has had numerous complaints about it dropping the 2.4G wireless or the 5G wireless if not both. It will not reset and the only way to get WiFi back is to reset the modem each time. A real pain. What amazes me is that Best Buy and Xfinity continue to sell and/or recommend this model. Forget about technical support, Netgear and Xfinity will have a finger pointing contest if you call either about this issue.

I gave it 1 star for poor matching online price. It doesn’t match as it advertised. It is a trick that you have to call them before you placed the order online, not afterwards. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to buy online at Best Buy.

Can I give Best Buy zero stars? I spent almost $400 for this Router/Modem and it started out good and slowly started developing problems. Now I can't keep anything connected to it - not my Android phone, not my IPAD, and not my ROKU. It keeps disconnecting from my IPAD and keeps asking for my password, I put my correct password in and if I am not right by the router it tells me wrong password. I have a LEMON! I have had it a little over 3 months and Best Buy will not even talk to me about exchanging it - they only send me to Netgear - or they want to sell me a Full house service plan . . . .and give more money to Best Buy? Never again! I wish that I had bought it directly from Netgear or Amazon.

Originally purchased the modem/router combination. Expensive and did not did not solve our issues. Took it back and purchased 2 separate components - the Nighthawk AC1900 Dual-band wifi router and ARRIS Surfboard cable modem. Expensive day but good-to-go.

Upgraded my speeds to a package that required a 3.1 modem and decided to spend a lot on this device. From the start it never worked correctly, I never got the speeds I should have. A month or two in it quit working completely so I plugged in my older device to get back online. I got busy and by the time I got around to trying to troubleshoot it netgear won't support me past 90 days and best buy won't take it back so now I have a $350 paper weight that I should have returned immediately. And yes I know how to use the device, I work for an ISP and the replacement I just purchased from another brand for less $ works perfectly.

Don't buy it, just don't. I bought this to avoid having to pay to rent Comcast's modem thinking it would be amazing it was...for six months only. After six months it was logging so many T3 and T4 timeouts my connection was dropping anywhere from 5 to 50 times a day. I had Comcast out 5 different times, had my line replaced 3 times, connection points replaced, until finally replacing the modem and wouldn't you know problem fixed. I am now in a fight with Netgear to either get a new replacement modem to maybe sell or get a refund as after six months I have an almost $400.00 piece of equipment that is essentially a paper weight.

This expensive router worked only for about one month. After that, it started dropping off signal. At first I tried to start soft-rebooting to clear the cache from the router. Then the failure gets more frequently and then the wifi simply stops connecting. Ethernet cable and modem work though. The wifi is just garbage.
