This router/ modem is very expensive with no performance advantage. I replaced my previous Netgear modem/router for no reason. I figured I would go real extra this time hoping I would notice some great performance. This product did not perform any better than the $99 Netgear I purchased 3 years prior. Gaming, Streaming, and internet speed and stability have not improved. I am a Netgear product enthusiast but I am convinced any docsis 3.0 100/300 router with perform similar. PING ON speed tests including upload and downloads did not improve using the fastest internet in my area.

    Don't expect gigabit speeds

I recently upgraded to gigabit with Comcast and after they wanted to charge $14/mo for their modem I said no thanks and picked up this router/modem combo. It definitely provides faster speeds than the 150Mbps I used to have, but on speed tests it will spike to 500ish and then level out around 285-300Mbps. I never see anywhere near gigabit speeds ever. I had a Surfboard SB8200 that gave about 700Mbps when plugged directly into the modem but only in the mid-200s going through my old Nighthawk R7000 router which is why I was trying different options. I'm tired of messing with it and spending money trying different things so I'm just going to stay with this because it's hooked up and working and at least stable and the gigabit bundle was actually cheaper than I was paying for 150Mbps, and mid 200s is fast enough for most everything anyway. Most servers aren't capable of giving you data much faster than that anyway. But I'm definitely disappointed that I am not getting anywhere near gigabit speeds, especially for the price of this thing.

This cable modem is compatible with Suddenlink. There's not much to it. Just follow the instructions that are included. In order to install it on Suddenlinks system. You'll need to have the Mac Address located on the modem. Ran into to some issues on their end. Had to have tech come to the house and check cabling and signal. He reverified the installation and called to reconfirm modem address. Went from 20 Mbps to almost 400 Mbps. It's now a constant speed. Now keep in mind it's Suddenlink. I pay for 1 gig but not getting it. But my internet is fast. So far this modem is rocking. My internet no longer drops off line intermittently.

DDNS, integrated WiFi/routing, and really simple setup. Performance is very good, especially with WiFi repeaters. NetGear app is serviceable and does what you need. The device itself is extremely easy to configure and adjust to your needs.

When we moved from our old house to a bigger house our old modem just wasn't cutting it. This modem promises coverage for up to 3600 sq ft and it delivered. No more dead spots in a 2100 sq ft home. Totally worth the extra money.

Bought this because I didn't wanted to pay the fees for renting the Xfinity modem. And this was a really good purchase. The range is pretty good and gets all the speeds I'm paying for! Definitely give it a try if you're looking for a modem/router combo!

Needed a new router to go with my Cox Gigablast. Couldn't be happier. They had it in stock and ready for pickup that day. Works awesome both cabled in and the wifi. Looks pretty sweet too. Might be too big for some people.

We tried over 10 combinations of routers and modems and none of them would even work together, but less give us good speeds. This was easy to set up, worked the first time, and gives us decent speeds.

We recently had to upgrade our router and I combed through reviews and this made the cut. I'm glad we purchased because we stream, 4 people playing video games at the same time. We use consoles and high end gaming PCs. The signal is fast and you can separate users on the networks. We originally had a web system thing where it supposedly expands the signal, nope that didn't work and we're in a 2,000 sq ft home. This did the job and we put away the other things, cannot remember the name. I would recommend this if you're a wireless home like we are. We also stream everything we watch with Hulu, HBO, Disney, etc. and we have smart devices throughout the house that we use.

I bought this as an upgrade to the one I had. I like the options on this particular model. I have noticed the internet at home is quite a bit faster. Netgear's equipment has always and continues to me to be very user friendly.

I bought this to upgrade from my old Motorola modem/router. I had been wanting this one and it was on clearance around $360 which is more than i have ever paid for a modem but i wanted a good one so splurged. It started out great and the signal reached all through my house to where i didnt need to use my wifi extender. Mind you i only have a 1500 sq ft home so its not huge. The speed was about double my old modem which was great. The reach was great as well. The problem started with it dropping internet once or twice a day and having to unplug to reboot. I tried changing settings multiple times to see if that helped. The last straw was trying to watch a movie and it taking over 3 hours to get through because it would not stay connected to internet. I contacted my isp amd they said everything looked fine on their end so i packed this up, hooked up my old modem and it worked fine. I returned this to best buy. I ended up buying the Motorola 8725 and it has been great. No drops as of yet. Signal is not as far but speed is better and it has wifi 6. I do not recommend this nighthawk.

So far the set up has been as easy as following the instructions. Nothing fancy about it. I hope this works out. I have been trying to find a way to save myself some money from renting Xfinity's router. I went to the store and they said this was compatible and will serve the purpose that I need it for. I'm not a gamer or use my computer for business. I mainly use the internet for streaming movies, TV, and surfing the web. I think that's pretty basic and that's I really need. I literally just followed the quick start instructions and it was working in no time. I'm not a big technical guy either, so it was really that simple in my opinion. Honestly, only time will tell if this really is a good Modem Router combo or not. As far as quick set up, simple set up, and basic use, it's great for that so far.

i bought this modem because i wasnt getting as much distance and speed as i wanted from my prior Netgear. the price and size gives you hope that its going to be a beast. speed and distance was slightly increased. but every once in a while it struggles. not sure its worth the 400$ price tag. I wanted the best, and i thought i was paying for it. but it didn't really wow me.

Great modem/router with super long range. Good signal coverage over my 4000+ square foot house without any mesh system or extenders. Setup was a bit tedious, but I’m not very tech savvy. I’m sure someone of the younger generation would breeze right through it. Occasionally needs to be reset (twice since purchase). This could be due to the Spectrum signal, but probably the item itself.
