    Gaming!!!! I solely bought this for gaming. Among Netflix and work. I live in a 2,700 qr ft 2 story house. We had spectrums new 6g but it didn’t cover the other half of our home. A technician from spectrum told me to go out and buy this! He recommends this to all his customers. Wow! I pay 300mbps I get 489mbps for the router satellite #1 474 satellite #2 479mbps. We can game on ps5 Xbox s pc watch movies YouTube no problems. We have connection in the whole house for the first time! This product is awesome! Please go out and buy it it’s so worth it and it’s always on sale. I have the two band system but they do have three band. If u can afford it do it if not this is all u need it’s just better but not necessary. The one downfall is that you only get one Ethernet port per satellite and two ports for the router. I can’t plug my consoles or anything because they’re used for the main Ethernet to supply a wired connection for upstairs. I recommend you buy a Ethernet switch box that has several Ethernet connections so u can hard wire your stuff if u want a better connection. They’re $40 but worth it. In the mean time you’ll be fine without it because this router is that good. If net gear updates a new model and it needs a minimum three Ethernet ports on router and satellites the. I’ll give it a 5 out of 5 but since they cheap out on that this gets 4 out of 5 even though it’s performance and set up are very good.

    The WiFi system is absolute garbage. The router stopped working after one month. Contacted NETGEAR, went through hours of troubleshooting and they decided to replace the router. Had to pay for expedited shipping. The new router from NETGEAR worked for a month and also stopped working. Attempting to work through NETGEAR to resolve. They are wanting to replace the router again but that involves taking a third chance on the product and business going down for hours due to the product not working. So far. they are refusing to offer a different product or refund. Total loss of money on this product as well as time spent trying to resolve, and lost business income when product was not working.

    Although we successfully set up this product and the WiFi in our home seemed to improve temporarily, we continue to struggle with signal strength.

    I’m not sure if it’s the WiFi or the provider. But we still get glitches, lag, and frozen moments where it just doesn’t want to work

    Not the mesh system that I thought I was getting. I like Netgear products but this does not work with Apple Homekit.

    Don't buy this if you have a smart home

    What a waste of money. I spend $300 on this thing and it doesn't even broadcast dual SSIDs. Now, most of my smart devices will not work because they require a dedicated 2.4g connection and this thing blends them together with no way of separating them. It was suggested that I wrap it in tinfoil to block the 5ghz band so that my devices will connect to the 2.4. I've had this thing for 3 weeks and I have to bust out the tinfoil??? Are you kidding me I'm just past the two weeks at Best buy to return them so I am stuck with 3 bricks of a useless system. Disgusted with Netgear for a terrible product and Best Buy for their absurd 15 day return policy. It took me that long to figure out what was wrong.

    would not buy these again. This router system kept dropping internet and when I called Netgear, they had to go in and try to put in a static IP - which did not work so after 2 hours on the phone, we finally got them working but the next morning they were offline again. They replaced them.

    I own an Orbi and love it so I bought these as a cheaper alternative for our office. Worked great for the first few days but over the following weeks the satellites would disconnect and not reconnect. I thought maybe it was distance so I tried setting one 10 feet from the main router and it still wouldn’t reconnect when I tried syncing them. I would have returned them but I tossed the original packaging so now we’ve got a router with 2 useless satellites. 0/10 would not recommend.

    I would not recommend this at all. I returned the unit due to inability to connect the system to my wifi / streamer. The setup is fairly straight forward, as long as you go it exactly as the guide tells you. I have a super strong wifi setup and this system just would not connect and I couldnt use it.

    The smart device placement features constanly places the wrong devices on the 2.4 band and that resulted in slow speeds on devices that needed the faster bandwidth. Also smart home devices routinely did not connect because of being on the wrong bands

    Didn’t work with Roku TVs

    NETGEAR, in my opinion, has a known issue with its compatibility with Roku tv’s. This system worked just fine with phones and laptops. I have three Roku tvs, I spent hours upon hours trying to get the TVs to connect with this NETGEAR. I talked with NETGEAR tech support for hours trying to figure out why my TVs wouldn’t connect with no solution. Finally I just returned it, bought a TPlink Deco system. Everything connected flawlessly. Hopefully NETGEAR will find a fix.

    If I could rate this zero stars, I would. This is a piece of junk! Purchased this for our small business property. Could not successfully install it and decided it was a faulty product. Exchanged it for same item at the store. Again could not get it installed successfully so paid $179 for Tech Support to come to our location to install it. Tech Support could not get it installed, said it was defective and recommended a different brand. Will never buy Netgear product again!
