    Weekly Reboot required

    So far this router has required weekly reboots. Firmware is up to date. Wifi shows available, asks for password to rejoin, enter correct password but a no go. Tried to access the router via the Nighthawk app to see if I could trouble shoot issue, shows offline. Router couldn’t be accessed via Ethernet connection either, requires reboot to clear issues. It appears some Netgear routers have this intermittent problem & the fix is to roll back the firmware. The Nighthawk app is good and useful. When the router works, we have had no issues, ISP is 1G fiber. Multiple 4K streams no issues. Ordered the ASUS RTAX86U from Best Buy, only $100 more plus lifetime free security. Will be I stick on 4/8, that’s when the Netgear gets returned!

    I don't like having to use a phone app to setup something that is connected to my computer. Yesterday I woke to no WiFi in the house. Had to call halfway around the world to get it working again.

    The router is plastic and cheap. It works well well but I wonder if the buttons will break. One of the ports seems like it pushes into the frame when you insert the ethernet cable! That is not a good sign.

    I think it's working but don't really know. Sometimes the wifi still doesn't work and sometimes its just fine. Not sure if its the router or maybe the basic signal is off/unreliable.

    I didn't work in my 1400 sq ft house. I tried different places but still didn't work. When I left the house, it would turn off. Every day, I had to turn it back on and reinstall my devices.

    Don't force to install Mobile App and Subscription

    NETGEAR Nighthawk has weird subscription terms one has to accept before one can use the router. Why NETGEAR is forcing me to sign up for a subscription that I don't want? NETGEAR is forcing you to install their mobile app for the installation and accept a subscription which I don't want to be the biggest downside of using this product. I like NETGEAR products but with this recent changes of mobile app installation and MUST Accept subscription turned me off.

    Mine was unstable

    I had a Netgear wireless mesh network and replaced it with this. My internet went up and down so I changed it out again with another brand and my internet connection has been solid with no issues. I returned this one.

    Failed to restore Blink Home Security 2nd time

    After 6 weeks trying to get geek support (twice) to restore home wifi, and still No Blink security, we are installing Xfinity today returning Netgear tomorrow!

    it was ok couldn't get it to connect to my internet we call folk at Netgear to fine out where was the problem but still couldn't get it right

    Woul turn on and we conencted once but it wouldnt let us connect again. Would just stop working basically. Then we'd reset it and NOTHING would fix it. Set up was easy dont get me wrong but when it doesnt work, whats the use?
