Terrible Product.

When experiencing a power failure, your Satellites and Router should automatically re-sync. If not, we recommend manually resyncing using the instructions in the User Manual beginning on page 14: https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/MK83/MK83_UM_EN.pdf.

Nice, easy, and a handy app to keep it easily tun.

Avoid!

Constantly drops wifi all day. Have to unplug and reset it daily. Could never get the app to work and customer service couldnt figure out why. The whole thing was a mess from the start. Should have refurned it but really needed a high powered router for homeoffice, but right after 30 day warranty if completely starfed having major issues. Signal strength is great for the few hours a day that it does work, but drops at random times all day long through out the day.

Customer support was TERRIBLE! No direct number. No response from the chat for 2 days! Returned it and purchased a different brand and have had zero issues.

When the satellites were working their coverage was spotting and my phone would randomly disconnect.

Unreliable

Randomly, my connection speed will be reduced from 400Mb/s to less than 1 Mb/s. The only way to restore the connection to full speed is to reboot the router. Additionally, the router randomly reboots, seemingly whenever a device connects to it, causing constant interruptions to connectivity. Netgear has a KB article providing several solutions on their site that don't work. After attempting the suggested solutions, to no avail, I returned the first router I purchased and exchanged it for another but both issues persisted. Knowing that Netgear is aware of the problem, I waited, hoping the issue would eventually be resolved via a firmware update. It's been 8 months now and several firmware updates later, still no resolution. The product is now outside of the 90-day support window and I refuse to pay for extended support only for them to have me repeat the steps I've already tried and wipe all of my settings. Especially since I've determined that these issues aren't isolated to this particular router, it being my second. Should have cut my losses and exchanged it for a Linksys instead of another Netgear while I was able.

NOT WITH VERIZON TV PLAN

Completely lost my verizon menu, on demand and tv guide due to not supplying the box by the verizon router.

Don’t waste your money

Poor reliability

After that, I have to reset either a node or the router every other day to get higher than 5-7Mbps speeds. I have google fiber and should be getting max speeds non stop.

Worth it if you have WiFi singal issues

Worst unstable mesh I have ever owned

I had a Tp-link and sold it hoping this would be an upgrade, Worse tech mistake I have ever made.

Does not work consistently.- major issue

That they don't tell you about, until it's too late is. When you do a factory reset, you can not use the same Network name and password again with it. so EVERYTHING you have in your home that connects to the internet- must be completely reinstalled and updated. Moreover, this product is a mess. I tried it for a year. IT would lock up an shut down the internet about once every 2 months, I have to do 5 full factory rests- which forced me to change my network id and password every time- so every device (80 total between smart home devices and tablets phones, computers ect on my network) had to be manually reinstalled and set up every time , every time. Each time I had to do this it took almost 2 hours on the phone with Netgear and about 6 hours of reinstalling my devices and smart home automation. the tech support from Netgear was a disaster every time. they insisted their steps would fix it and insisted I was wrong when I told them it was what I did the last time. And every time they left me in a lurch. They would not honor a refund and replacement. And Best Buy would also not honor a refund or replacement. I also paid for the extremely expensive extended support through Netgear which would not be prorated through a refund. All told I spent about 800.00 on this system. and it was a nightmare every 8 weeks. please stay away- by the time you realize it's not going to work for you in the way you need it to. it will be too late to get your money back.

I expected a whole lot more from Netgear!

I have been working with technical support for about two weeks now and still no luck it's garbage! At four hundred dollars I expected so much more what a waste of cash!
