    Didn't work with fiber internet

    Only giving this a lower rating because this mesh system didn't work on my fiber internet. My ISP kept blaming Netgear and Netgear kept blaming my ISP. I have fiber, so I don't have an indoor modem, just an ethernet port. The outdoor fiber to ethernet terminal is a Calix 717G ONT. I followed all the forum tips to get the Netgear system to work, but it never recognized a internet connection.

    Not worth the money.

    This system is not worth the price. Its actually a horrible system. The system mesh goes down constantly. The indicator lights do not work 90% of the time. You'll see the blue light to indicate that its connected, but nothing will be connected. it takes FOREVER after a reboot for the system to come back online after a reboot and on top of that if you do NOT buy the service and support from Netgear you won't even get 12 months of support.

    This is the worst product on the market! Paid over $500 for a system that won't work in a 2000 sf home. Netgear customer service is terrible. They don't speak English and after 4 case numbers opened & closed with no resolve I'm now past my 90 day return window and warranty period.

    Never Again

    Had this for 10 months. One satellite turned to a brick after a software update from Netgear. They finally replaced it. Range never worked well…constantly dropped signal even when sitting right next to either the main router or one of the satellites. Entire system turned to a brick within 10 months. Will never purchase Netgear products again.

If you are beyond the 90 days of complimentary support and you need additional technical support you will be asked to purchase an extended support contract, but if the device has failed and needs to be replaced you will not be charged for the support call, since this is covered under the hardware replacement warranty.

    Do not buy this garbage hardware

    I have spent over 30 hours on the phone with Netgear Tier 2 support because the wireless will just tank. The satellites will not forward signal and tank the router's wireless. I cannot return it to Best Buy. Netgear will not take it back and refund my money. I am out $400 on this garbage. I am so mad.

    Disappointed in this Nighthawk Mesh!

    Not a fan of this product, i simply can not recommend especially because it ended up being an expensive paperweight/ dust- collectors!! Was told it would solve all my issues ended up no help at all.

    Not so hot - Constant issues

    I was surprised that this would not cover my house. It is not that large. I have a 2500 Sq Ft home all one floor except for the bonus room. Plus this unit had constant bandwidth issues, with my new TV dropping signal constantly.

    Poor product followed by poor customer service

    Worked for a couple of weeks then would not work. None of our wifi units would work, like my weather station. Went to exchange and because we had not spent $1500 in a calander year we could only get store credit. Very very upset.

    Not good if you are using HomeKit

    I bought these to power my home automation. However these mesh routers are not compatible with HomeKit and ascessories. They worked great for the computers but it was taking forever to get responses from light switches etc.

    Tired of wifi equipment rental fee's, tired of not having enough coverage and tired of your device trying to reconnect via wife. Well guess what these nighthawk mesh pods are absolutely fire. Never worry about your device trying to reconnect to the next wifi extender/ repeater. These things are abit pricey but so well worth it. The setup is not complicated and not technical. Just take your time. The coverage that the nighthawk gives is absolutely astonishing.

    Garbage, bought 3 sets of these for customers. All have repeatedly stopped working and have needed maintenance within the year. Will never buy again for sure.

    It was very easy to hook up took less than 5 minutes. Works great never had any problems with it disconnecting it works great with our Verizon Fios. Just hooked it up to our Verizon Fios modem disabled the radios plugged in the satellites have consistent connection through out the entire house in the basement and upstairs. Love it and would definitely buy again.

    It was tough to stomach how crummy this product is considering the solid experiences I have with the modems and other nighthawk routers. Family and Friends also have good things to say for other products. However, this mesh much too unstable. Tried old firmware, latest firmware, and neither have corrected the issue. The base works great, but the satellites just won't stay in sync. I thought maybe it's my walls and various appliances in between so I hooked them up in clear line of sight with various ranges. 10ft, 15ft, 20ft, 25ft, 30ft, 40ft. Same issue each time. One evening I brute forced sync with the steps in the gateway browser application with no success. Then next morning I tried and it did sync. Then after 24 hours they lost sync. Would not sync for about a day. Then the following day 1 of them did sync. Then the next day I got the second satellite to sync from the router browser app. Then after about 6 hours they failed to keep sync. I am at my witts end and going to adopt ASUS gaming router and the ZENWIFI mesh system. A pal has been using it with rock solid results. It will cost me more but I will gladly pay it for my sanity's sake. Simply put, this product does not show up on any web searches for the top wifi 6 mesh systems available on the market. Even some brands I've never heard of before have a place on the various lists that come up. I took this one at the nighthawk face value assuming they only made high quality hardware. I will never be able to do that again. For the Netgear review teams that hunt these reviews to say sorry and post some links please don't bother. I ran through 18 hours of your documented troubleshooting and many tips from other members on the netgear community forums. Nothing is working. And I don't want some refurbished replacement. Feels overtly cheap for the cost (even on sale prices) Is pretty darn expensive. On the bright side, it is extremely easy to setup with the mobile app.

    Nighthawk Whole Home Mesh WiFi 6 System Review

    This increased the speed and the range of my poorly positioned router while also creating no hassle in adding the satellites that came with the package. The installation was fairly easy and quick, nothing too difficult for anyone who reads the directions. All and all, a great product to extend the range of your home internet.
