Helped with wifi tremendously. We couldn’t get wifi into half the house and we live on a one level slab. Now everything is running much smoother

Bought to replace our 2-in-1 modem/router. Works as it should. The 5ghz wifi seems to drop even when sitting right next to it, not sure if it's the router or laptop/phones.

This router works great with our at&t Netgear router. I like the wifi 6 technology and it has enough bands to handle all our smart home traffic and yet free up fast lines for gaming and streaming.

Netgear AX4200 Dual Band is easy to set up with the mobile app. I have multiple computers and tablets and have had no issues with connectivity. I did have to reset my modem and that caused on boot up a red light on the router's internet connection LED to turn red. I do have internet connection, but the LED should be white. On Netgear community this seems to be an issue, nothing major and I would recommend this router.

The router works well but apparently Netgear does not make a PC app to let you get into it to make changes. You enter the ip address and you get to the router log in, then you have to set up a "Netgear" account. You go back with the password for that and you get "something went wrong" I changed the password several times and it always something going wrong. The android app works but you can't make some of the system changes with it. So it requires a router login and an online netgear login. Spent an hour with support, all they do is confirm you have internet access and then say you have to use android for router access. Also my wife's cellphone doesn't work with the IP address for some reason and I had to keep my old router as an extender for her phone to work. If I had known about this I would have bought another brand of router.

I bought this to replace my older router thinking it was a good buy. I've been having issues almost daily with the WAN port losing connection and having to turn it off an on again. After doing more research, turns out that it can't handle all the devices on my network. 25 is the max LAN/WIFI. Count how many total devices you will be using before purchasing.

    Bricked Router after one week

Took well over an hour to set up with the “easy to install app” (sham). Mind you, this isn’t my first router install. Probably my tenth in the last decade and this was by far, the hardest. I think mostly due to the app. Had the router plugged in for ONE week and over the course of that week I would have devices randomly drop for no reason, and then come back on (I.e. my ring doorbell, door locks, etc.) Decided to try and look for a firmware update to see if that would fix the problem. Lo and behold, there was an update available. I started the process and then the app kept saying it couldn’t connect to the router (mind you, ALL THE WHILE I’M CONNECTED TO THE ROUTER ON MY PHONE, ALREADY). I turn the app off and disconnect the router from it’s power source, leave it off for about 15 seconds, and then reconnect. The router won’t reboot. Red and white flashing light on the power LED. “Tech support” tried to have me reset and when that didn’t work they told me the router is bricked and I would have to replace. WOW THANK YOU. 100 headaches later and after about 6 netgear routers that I have owned, I will be switching to a different brand. Make sure you look at all of the people complaining about how the firmware update bricked their routers on the netgear forums. Huge red flag that I should have done more research on before buying.
