    This is not my first Nighthawk but it's my last. It. Would. Not. Connect! I attempted to pair it with two different NetGear modems with no success. So having been without WiFi for 48 hours I was done and returned it.

    I prefer zero stars but whatever. This thing has been an absolute pain since day one. Setup was easy, sure, but holy hell is the WiFi service in my home absolute garbage. I have to power cycle this router several times a day to get my “smart home” back to smart status. Very annoying. Selling this garbage or recycling it. Back to ASUS I go.

    Bought it, hooked it up, positioned well in the house, got worst coverage than my older router, slower speeds, and got dropped signals. I don't like my experience with Netgear had them before but turned away after the first router previously owned and switched to Linksys which is the current set up and actually outperforms this new one

    The netgear new wireless router did not perform very well. It kept dropping the wifi signal and I just ended up returning it, kind of sad I had to go back to my old router

    Had this router for less than two years. WiFi connection started dropping, and there is absolutely ZERO customer support unless you pay for a support subscription fee (which is hundreds of dollars a year). Warranty is short and broad. Not worth the money for it to crap out in two years. My parents standard stock AT&T router from 2007 outlasted this crap.

    Typical Netgear. It's always hit and miss with netgear. Replace 3 netgear routers within 3 weeks.

    The smart connect feature where there is one band that will determine the best connection, yeah it sucks! It also is extremely slow for me to pay for 200 Mbps. And everything of mine is up to date software-wise. I am kinda disappointed in it. The app is very slow and that's how you are supposed to set it up.

    Netgear router requires an internet connection to sign into router configuration page. Even after creating a netgear account it then does not accept the credentials to log into the router. Why is this so terribly configured? You should be able to modify the settings of hardware you buy without needed another account tied to the internet. One of the worst routers I've ever dealt with.

    Purchased item and found out I could have purchased from Amazon for $50.00 less than I paid at Best Buy. Best Buy would not price match without me returning item

    Router seems okay but early days yet. But you have to pay for the parental controls and the security (after a 30d trial) which is not clear in the product description. I run linux so I read through everything carefully to make sure it was compatible. Can't run the nighthawk app on my linux phone either although I can download it (app runs, but it doesn't connect to netgear). Wouldn't recommend any Netgear products given all these problems (and I've used them for years).

    New but a disappointment

    I purchased this nighthawk router because I wanted to upgrade from an older model. I purchased it because of the updated features but when I installed it, the new one never worked to my satisfaction. I returned it because the old one worked better than the new one!
