Worked fine for about 2 years then kaput

Worked fine for about 2 years. Then it started dropping devices, losing connection, etc. At first resetting worked for a while. Then that stopped. Last 2 Netgear routers I've own only lasted about 2 years and then kaput. Switching to ASUS. Hopefully I'll have better luck.

It cannot be used with AT&T. I tried to return it, but was told I couldn’t because I didn’t do in time.

    Disappointing

The signal from this router was constantly wavering between super fast and extremely slow. This resulted in terrible quality for any video calls, streaming, etc. Returned the router and am continuing to use the one we have had for 8-10 years without issue. Very disappointed. Also the app to setup was much more cumbersome than necessary.

    Won’t work with thermostats.

This router didn’t last long (3 months). I couldn’t hook up my thermostats to the router and had to have servicemen come multiple times to get them setup, It asked me to download new firmware, so I did. The indicator lights went red, and that was it. The online articles say vamoose, and they could’t be more right. I tried finding support and there was nobody to be found. Guessing Best Buy won’t return it either.

    Netgear "warranty" is terrible.

Router broke within two months of purchase. My internet provider and I determined it was faulty. Good luck dealing with getting it warrantied. You have to jump through hoops getting a return authorization number. Just easier to trash it and buy a different brand.
