I've had this router for a few weeks now. My old router provided faster speeds, but it would drop signal often. This router provides fast wifi on both 2ghz & 5ghz and it has yet drop off signal. Strong wifi all over my house.

I would NOT purchase this. Set up was easy and the router worked great for about 2 weeks. After that we were continually losing Internet access through the router. I called Netgear customer support and they were unable to resolve any issues. This is actually the 2nd router like this that we bought. The first had the same issues. I thought the 1st was faulty because when I went to register it, it was already registered to another individual.

We bought this to replace a five-year old NETGEAR that started giving unreliable service. This unit had a good price and was simple to install. Our WiFi performance was significantly improved and we really like the NETGEAR App used for the install and monitoring.

I ordered a different router and I went to pick it up and saw this router and decided to purchase this router as it was better for my size home. The setup was simple and the performance is very satisfactory. Glad I bought it.

Router startup was pretty simple. Did need a smart phone but the router was able to get its firmware update right away. The app has allot of controls so good for parents, and the Armor protection seems to be working as well.

BEWARE if you are coming from a Netgear router with USB control center printing ability, this router does not support USB printing. It has been a good upgrade from the R7000 with better signal and speed. I was able to purchase it for $150 which I consider a fair price for the decreased functionality. I would've returned it for $300. It was cumbersome to install on our network, especially considering this is the 4th Netgear router we've installed and normal installations are pretty smooth. It required about a dozen restarts and a few phone calls to our internet provider before it finally connected to our modem properly. I was ready to take it back when I tried for the last time and it worked. The Nighthawk app is a great feature for complete control of the network.

I definitely have experienced a difference while connected to WiFi. I like the fact you are able to use an app on your phone to run speed tests, monitor the network and see all devices connected. I am able to stream and use multiple devices without buffering.

I received the product today , set up through the nighthawk app was easy, it took me maybe 10 minutes, and I can se a significant change in speed, my previous router was giving me around 300 mbps, this router is giving me 400 plus, and this is over wifi, have not tested the wired conection, but so far it has been great. I dont know that much about prices for routers, but I thought this was a good deal for $150.

I bought this Best Buy exclusive router at a great price around Christmas last year. It is a major upgrade over my old Linksys router. The signal is very strong and the range is great.

With our old linksys, connections started to be dropped often. I have a lot of devices within about 2k sq ft.. So far so good with this one. I’ve been using smart connect and every one is happy with speed and reliability.

Works and looks great. Much better range than my previous RTN66U, especially the 5G band. The Netgear app makes setup & settings easy, but requires user to accept T&C which may have some data collection agreements, but probably not a big deal. The sale price with BB trade in program for my even older RTN10P made it a great deal for what it was.

Easy setup. All app driven. Had a Nighthawk router before that I gave to son for regular internet. Have fiber 1 gig now and works great. Had Lynksys router mesh that died out after six months. This one is more powerful.

Great powerful, easy to installed by Best Buy Geek sq. I didn’t want mass up but when I saw it it’s easy. I have nearly two months and I feel I have the speed greater than what my provider to told me I could have..

Nighthawk routers are the best. It was very easy to set up and so was the app. The app is very user friendly and love all the options to control you’re WiFi along with each device connected to it. I got it on the black Friday sale for $149 awesome deal.

After tried a lot of options, my internet at home with 3 kids in virtual classes kept crashing, until I got this Router. It was an affordable and powerful solution for my problems. Very happy to have found it. Also easy to install... Highly recommended!

Purchased this router to upgrade from a 802.11ac to the WiFi6 802.11ax protocol. Not many devices at home are using the WiFi6 protocol yet, so not sure whether my network really benefits from this router, but I did notice that the router delivers more consistent fast internet for multiple devices at the same time, so there may be some added benefit that this router is delivering. I do think that the 5 Ghz network has a bit of delay/lag to be detected by my devices. I consistently see the 2.4 Ghz network earlier than the 5 Ghz... also this router seems not to support mesh network, so it will not have the immediate capabilities to scale your network up if you are planning on living in a bigger space.

Great router! High speed, and the app lets me know when a new device connects to the network. Easy setup, through my cell phone, didn’t have to use a computer or laptop to change the network name or password!

Good speeds and range. Nighthawk app could use some work and I don’t advise trying to setup your router with the app. Setting it up on a computer browser like every other router works great.

Love the wifi range on this. Router is placed at one end and it covers my whole house (2400sqft w/day basement). I use Sparklight internet and using 5GHz I get speeds well over 400mbps. id buy again.
