Way way faster than my factory issued ATT router. Easy to setup as a bridge with many features. My 1000mbps internet really shines with this router.

Had problems with my internet speed at the house and I had spent $100 on a router/modem combo. Seems it couldn’t handle the number of people in the house, because the nighthawk solved all my problems. Everyone can surf the internet all over the house without any lag. There was 13 of us over the holidays. We have 500 mb upload speed. Spend the extra money and get this thing. Oh and I got a new modem that can do a gig when I got this. Figured if I ever wanted to upgrade, I could.

Downloaded app. Plugged in... set up.. maybe 15 mins... works great! So many features and app is cool! Signal is strong for 400mbps internet ..

Great range and speed. It did factory reset a couple of times when I first bought it. That was frustrating.

The signal is awesome. It reaches all the way to my driveway and it also covers my back yard. I would really recommend this item it’s worth it

Many years of using service providers given equipment and it always fails, as of recently I work from home, and the router that was provided to me would crash every other day from my work computer, my phone, my smart tv, all being on and connected. I upgraded to this and now I can stream to all of my devices (I own a lot) from streaming a game from my computer to my phone when I am in my room to streaming on 8 devices all at once, this router has been going strong so far

I bought this to replace an aging Netgear R6400 that was restarting randomly throughout the day. I work from home so that was unacceptable. I did the research and settled on this model partly due to the price. It is normally $299 but was on sale for $149. I took advantage of a 15% off coupon from trading in an old router I had in my basement. I have had good experiences with Netgear products in the past so I was confident that this would fit my needs. I recommend using a web browser to set up the router. You do have the option to use their app to set things up but I prefer to have more control in my settings. This gave me the opportunity to simplify my SSID and password. I got a little too complicated last time. My family appreciated the changes. After you get into the router settings the first thing you should do is update the firmware. Netgear software has a reputation of taking a long time to apply settings changes, rightfully so, but I am OK with that. You will see in some reviews that users report an inconsistent 5Ghz signal with connections dropping out and restarting it was their solution. I have not had that issue. I read in multiple places that a feature called Smart Connect was the culprit. It switches between Wi-Fi bands when it feels the other band will give you a better signal. This will cause the drops. It gets confused and that is where the drops happen. Turn this option off. I did and I have had no problems in the 2 weeks of use. Overall I like the router and would recommend it. You do need to be willing to tinker with the settings of you need to. Google is your friend. If you have a question odds are that someone has already asked it and you can easily find an answer.

netgear router was an excellent buy. Improved internet access at all points inside my home. Sharp looking as well.
