This is such an improvement from what I previously had!! No more lags on any of my devices… well worth the money

This is by far the best router I have ever used. Love the nighthawk app. Coverage in my 2500 s/f house is excellent. 38 devices connected.

I bought this to replace an aging Netgear R6400 that was restarting randomly throughout the day. I work from home so that was unacceptable. I did the research and settled on this model partly due to the price. It is normally $299 but was on sale for $149. I took advantage of a 15% off coupon from trading in an old router I had in my basement. I have had good experiences with Netgear products in the past so I was confident that this would fit my needs. I recommend using a web browser to set up the router. You do have the option to use their app to set things up but I prefer to have more control in my settings. This gave me the opportunity to simplify my SSID and password. I got a little too complicated last time. My family appreciated the changes. After you get into the router settings the first thing you should do is update the firmware. Netgear software has a reputation of taking a long time to apply settings changes, rightfully so, but I am OK with that. You will see in some reviews that users report an inconsistent 5Ghz signal with connections dropping out and restarting it was their solution. I have not had that issue. I read in multiple places that a feature called Smart Connect was the culprit. It switches between Wi-Fi bands when it feels the other band will give you a better signal. This will cause the drops. It gets confused and that is where the drops happen. Turn this option off. I did and I have had no problems in the 2 weeks of use. Overall I like the router and would recommend it. You do need to be willing to tinker with the settings of you need to. Google is your friend. If you have a question odds are that someone has already asked it and you can easily find an answer.

Router has a great range — honestly no *faster* than my AC1750 router that it replaced which is strange, and I believe the advertising for this router is misleading because of that. The better range is nice, but my laptop reports about the same speed (~140mbps) or even a but slower than my old Netgear router. The longer range is great for security cameras etc!

So far so good. My husband said it was pretty easy to connect. I love that it can handle so many devices. We have two smart tvs, and echo show, phones, watches, baby things etc. The only issue we’ve had so far may be something with our buildings built in modem. The bright side is that Netgear customer was very helpful in solving the issue and Best Buy Geek squad was also available.

The nighthawk router is by far the best router I have ever used. It never drops signal and gets close to the advertised speed of my ISP

Our home is 1100 sq.ft and this router has greatly improved the wifi quality in our house! My son and husband both play video games online, and since getting this router, there has been minimal lag and its made for a more enjoyable gaming experience. It's improved internet speeds on all of the phones/tablets we use in the home. I would definitely recommend this router to anyone having issues with internet speeds through their cable provider. Our modem that Spectrum gave us was not cutting it but this has helped a ton!

Love it! Easy setup, app works great, customizable settings are easy to navigate and it seems to cover about 85% of my 3300sq ft home.

Extremely easy setup. It has doubled my speed from my old router. Very pleased, no issues so far after a week.

setup was a breeze. I'm kinda stunned by the range of this router. In a huge house coverage is good, and out on the deck too.

Nice router easy to set up Open VPN is easy to setup. The speeds are consistent haven't noticed any drop off. Have over 60 devices!!!

Not sure why there are negative reviews on this router. Router was easy to install using the Nighthawk app. No problems at all. Was able to configure the new network with the same name and password as the prior router so all my devices connected to the new network automatically. Saw a 50% speed increase in the 2.4ghz wifi. Now the only thing slowing my network down is my 100mbps service. May have to upgrade to a faster speed now! I highly recommend this router. Black Friday deal made it the buy of the year.

This router was easy to set up and to add devices to. So far it has been working well, and is much faster than my old router.

I now have faster connections on all my devices and the range is awesome. Easy to set up ready to go in less than 5 minutes.

200 Mbps in the basement, 2 floors away! My previous router never did better than 150 on the same floor!

Great router. Literally took 15 minutes to set up. Notifies you if someone tries to log into your account. Great range.
