Just what we needed for our internet. We kept having problems with our other one so we bought this one and it was on sale too.

I have had Netgear routers for years, including the previous version of this router. This router config is TERRIBLE. Once connected to the internet, you cannot browse to the IP address of the router for config settings; rather, you need to create a Netgear account and log in via cloud/web. However, after creating 2 different logins, I still get "Something went wrong, try again". TEch supports answer? -- disconnect the router from the internet so you can access it in a "normal" fashion. I termeinated the call and returned the product. This will be my last Netgear purchase.

Great wireless device connections. But Note you must create an internet account with Netgear to administer/configure the router. It is not a just user & password. So to troubleshoot the device if your internet is down their solution is a HARD RESET and wipe out all your settings. Had I not traded in another old router for a discount I would have brought it back and bought some other mfr.

I would not recommend this product. NETGEAR customer service is awful, very unpleasant set up. It is dual band so the speed is not that fast if you have multiple devices. I spent over one hour trying to set it up. It has a good range as promoted. They offer a malware protection for 60 days free and then they ask to pay a subscription for the use.

After a year of use, i think i will now change back to TP-Link. They were great for me and this device is not really broadcasting well. Not too strong to cross a couple of Drywalls. I thought it would be an upgrade but no. Every case is different and this is my particular case.
