Feels like a scam

The problem was that when I tried to set it up it would not connect. When I contacted technical support they told me I needed to purchase their assistance and they had three options for various lengths of time that ran from 250 to 350 dollars. I have never had to purchase assistance to set up a purchase and I feel this was close to a scam and I will never purchase from NETGEAR again or any other company that charges you to set up their product.

Poor Customer Service, Poor Policy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Netgear customer service is terrible, if you don't have a purchase receipt they won't help you troubleshoot your device. For some reason I am not able to login to the router. It keeps giving me "try again later." I purchased the router last year towards the end of the year, I don't have a purchase receipt and customer service won't help me because I cannot prove when I purchased the router.

repeated loss of internet, even AFTER replacing it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this to upgrade the house, it worked great, except when it suddenly stopped connecting to the internet and I had to do a HARD reset to get it working again Then a week later another hard reset, then the next day till i just went and replaced it.... then the NEW router didn't even last 1 day DO NOT BUY!!! Netgear is not as good as it use to be

Good i think
