Great router that performs for gaming. Easy setup with app support

Netgear used to be such a good company. I had a necgear router for years which was perfect but was old and updates no longer supported and that’s why I purchased this one. This router has been a nightmare. First of all, it took me hours to get it set up. 1st Netgear did not help at all as they said I purchased it 2 days after the 99 days warranty even tho I just installed it that day. They wanted me to pay to help set it up. Finally, they helped set it up and it’s been OK although every time it reboots I have to manually set it up again on my smart tv and Alexa. Their customer service is just trying to sell you stuff, not help you. It will not perform updates unless I factory reset it and then have to hook it up to all my devices again. I finally gave up. I’m giving this router to charity and purchased a new one. I am vety disappointed in this once good company. Would not tecommend.

My other router was starting to fail, and since I had a Netgear modem, I decided to stay within the same ecosystem and get their router. Setup could have been a little easier, but fortunately Netgear support was there to help. They require you to setup the router via smartphone; however, apparently, my phone was too old to do the job, so Netgear support had to walk me through how to complete the task. Once I got it setup, I had to listen to a sales spiel to get me to sign up for a service contract. No thanks. In all the time I've administered my own modem and router (save for the setup this time), I've never had to contact customer support. I consider a service contract to be a colossal waste of money. Anyway, the router is working well, and I'm happy to have chosen it.

The Netgear Nighthawk AX5400 is perfect for anything, including a security system. The Internet is super fast and you won't be disappointed with this product! I highly recommend it!!

Bought this to replace a Verizon Fios router that was really cutting down our high speed connection. This works extremely well in our 1250 sq foot, 2 story house, and we're big gamers. Our gaming latency has improved greatly.

Great if you have patience (for the app to take you through the steps)...the Nighthawk app was decent and took me through the steps but...it took a few tries for the router to recognize the modem but in the end, it worked. NETGEAR, make the app better! Anyhow, my connections are faster and have great range! No lag or dropouts either...

Solved my remote work issues with video conferencing calls dropping off. Now I come through crisply with minimal interruptions on Teams, Zoom, etc. Easy set up.

I previously bought a different brand and it had issues from the start. Thai one was more expensive but came highly recommended by and internet installer, so I bought it. I’m very happy that I did. Runs fast with zero issues.

I have been very pleased with this router. My son no longer complains about getting kicked off wifi anymore. This router has a great signal and covers our entire house even when it's located at one end and upstairs in the bonus room.
