Garbage

There always seems to be an issue. I have been patient enough to ignore a lot of the issues but t0day the 2.4ghz radio will no longer come on, seems in the forums that this is something that has happened to others. I will never be purchasing Netgear again.

Stopped working

Drops internet connection when VPN enabled

I decided to upgraded for improved wireless speed and device capacity. I was also excited about having VPN built in. Unfortunately, this router frequently disconnects from the internet usually within 10-20 minutes of enabling VPN. Over the past couple months, it has gotten worse. I've wasted time troubleshooting. I spent over 3 hours with tech support. I wish I could return it. What a waste of money.

Badk quality JUNK, don't bother

It cuts out constantly. Powers off. Tried every fix I could find. I've decided it is low quality JUNK. I have NO use for a wifi that stops 2 to 3 times a day for no freaking reason.

Not worth it.

Works like crap and I’m an IT exec, know how to configure etc. Have dead spots in house still, Netflix will still lag in one bed room that is 30 ft away. Very disappointed, wish I could return. No 3rd party firmwares available either.

Disappointing, especially considering the price.

Programmability is limited and app potential is sub par. Although it's able to handle my fiber internet constantly getting 900+ Meg's, the instability of the network and it's lack of reliability would definitely push me to look elsewhere. I generally don't like Netgear, but tried them out on the recommendation of a couple sales reps at Best buy. I would definitely not buy again, especially with the price.

Waste of Money!

Unfortunately we thought at the time that our Comcast modem was the problem, but it wasn't.Biggest waste of $331. Avoid at all costs, the fact that they won't support it after four weeks just tells you the garbage it is.

Constant wifi disconnects

Dying after 1 year

This isn't the first Netgear router I've seen do this. I try to stay on the cutting edge of technology but I'm going to have to find a new brand of wireless routers.

I've owned 4 Netgear routers prior to this one. It does NOT have better covered than my older R8000P, latency fluctuates, drops network packets, overall unreliable and frustrating wifi connection! Hope I could still return it!!!

Works great when it works.

And it drops communication w/ SMTP/IMAP servers even when the internet is up causing emails tot to update on demand...VERY DISSAPOINTED.

Quality questionable

They would randomly power cycle and drop wifi. Could not figure out any common reason other than it must be a quality issue. Returned both units.

did not work for me

Great if you don't have walls. My PS4 was 10 feet away with one wall. Abismal speeds. Right next to it, speeds were top notch.
