Router Gets the Job Done and Then Some

This router exceeded my expectations. It’s coverage extends further than my old ASUS RT-AC87U router all while delivering faster upload and download speeds. This is definitely the fastest router I’ve ever had. Personally, I’m experiencing download speeds that are, quite literally, twice as fast as my old router. I’ve had no issues except in trying to setup the NETGEAR Armor service. For some reason I still can’t get that setup. This doesn’t make a difference as I really upgraded for a faster service that can manage many connections at once. This thing really does get the job done spectacularly.

Provides great speeds but takes up so much space. If you have plenty of space. Get it! Don’t expect 1 GB/s unless you are beside it but can get 600mb/s in a decent range and 300 mb/s far off

Once I got some issues straightened out with my internet, which this router actually helped to point out because things were not working right with things I was trying to stream, I am able to stream things on multiple devices without seeing any performance issues. Obviously your overall bandwidth will still determine what you can do but this router helps with streaming on multiple devices. I don't use the one name for both bands option since I have one device that just hates that for some reason. Although I don't live in a big house I have noticed the range increase when I am out in my yard and still connecting to the router.

Using it in a home network and provides good signal except to some places requiring me to buy a Netgear extender - works better than my Orbi ( non wifi 6 units ) . Looks like the Batmobile hanging on my wall.

Hear me out: I came from a Linksys router that was a little over 4 years old. Recently a candle warmer was knocked over and the wax managed to spill into the router. Even despite that the only difference we noticed was that it no longer reached the back of the house. So, it was time to look into purchasing another one. After a lot of research I was pointed here. Left it in my cart for 3 days before deciding after seeing other negative comments. Now here I am a week later and about to go through the hassle of returning the router. The router reboots about twice a day. I have worked in the IT field for over 10 years now and I wish I would have stuck with my gut with netgear. This router is sleek, it does provide an impressive speed, multiple devices are able to run smoothly, and the range isn't exactly what I expected but it isn't bad. For a router in this price range I should not be experiencing reboots. The reboots happened the very first day of purchase about 8 hours after setup. Which happen to be right in the middle of the final round between Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal. Thankful the card went to decision. And was a little embarrassing with the friends we had over. If you are looking for something with extra speed for basic internet suffering I say okay. But if you stream games, and/or UFC fight cards. I am going to say this is not the router for you despite being on the top 2022 routers. Netgear should be embarrassed of this product.

I was rocking a Netgear N600 Dual Band Gigabit Router & it was great NO ISSUES what so ever. But it was time to upgrade my equipment as I have more wifi devices in the house. I'll be set for years with this wifi router. Yes it did cost a bit. ****YOU HVAE TO TURN ON THE FAN MANUALLY! Mine got hot & I knew it should not be so hot & found a fix on line for it. **** My internet download speed is 120 Mbps upload is 20 Mbps. same with my other gear but this thing can handle way more speed & devices! im just not paying for that speed yet from my ISP.

I have ALWAYS used the Best Netgear ROuter on the Market, simply because I can set one of with my eyes closed..... BUT....and this is a BIG BUT.......they begin to slow down after 6-8 Months! THIS one, I bought maybe 7 months ago, my MBPS on the Down Side was well over 400.............Now its dropped to 200mbps and below, .....I reboot the system, and its back up to 400....give it a day, dragging to back at under 200 again! And every NetGear Router I have ever owned do the same thing!. I would change, but I just KNOW NetGear routers and their ease of Setup, and their Initial POWER.....

Don’t get me wrong it’s cool and it KINDA works. First off all the cool features disappeared after a month unless you want to pay 59.99 monthly for them. I still do but kinda pricey. 2nd off I occasionally have to reboot, it will just stop working and needs to be reset. It’s just annoying. Other than that it’s stupid fast I get my full gig threw WiFi. That being said way to pricy for standard internet I would not get this unless you have fiber optics.

If you have internet speed over 150mbps and continually keep more then 12devices connect at all times in your household, then this my friend is the router for YOU!!! I have frontier 200/200mbps package and continually have 15-19 devices on the wifi ,and this bad boy does not struggle what so ever. Iphones and ipads register 8 or less ping ,and modern warfare16 or less ping on xbox one x. so if ya have the money and are desperate to maintain flawless high speed then this nighthawk is the way to go!!

I have used the router for about a month now. I have had one consistent issue I have been unable to resolve: The router will randomly drop my internet connection and the only way to resolve is by restarting the modem. I have spent hours troubleshooting to try and resolve the issue to no avail. What I have found is this seems to be a recurring issue with Netgear in general. Until they patch this issue I would not recommend this or any other netgear products. In regards to coverage and speeds, the router is great WHEN IT WORKS! It is much faster than my previous device. If you don't mind restarting your modem a few times a week then, this router is for you! As for myself, I am no longer within the return exchange period. For the price I have paid, definitely not worth it!

Decent router. I have 1GB internet but only got about 200-300mbps speed with this netgear router. Upload speed was decent around 30-40. When I plug in directly to cable modem the speed is about 900mbps. Updated firmware, had new cat 6a cables, but speeds would not increase. Returned it for ASUS ax11000 and that is working great with speeds around 800 mbps plugged into router and about 600-700 mbps wireless. This router costs way too much to be run of the mill speeds. I really wanted to love it but the numbers don’t lie.

Since I have installed this at my main access point, everyone that enters my home has had the best experience with no buffering. I have 16 devices on the WIFI bands and a few switches across my house to get things like the TV and yes even the fire stick is on the switch as well. Apart from that this will be a no brainer if you want to future proof you home with gigabit speeds. * Your devices will max out speed based on the internals. As for me the is the best out right now in my opinion.
