The router is fantastic and performs as expected. The app is incredibly user-friendly, and I appreciate the ability to visually identify and categorize all my devices for better organization. It supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi bands, which enables older devices to connect to the 2.4GHz band while newer devices (such as iPhones and modern technology) can connect to the 5GHz band if preferred. However, there are a few drawbacks to consider. If you have a Google Nest Thermostat, it will only function on the 2.4GHz WiFi band (standard non-5G internet). Additionally, the router’s security settings are set to WPA3 by default. It’s crucial to switch this security setting via the NetGear App to WPA2/WPA3. The reason for this is that older devices (old smartphones, printers, thermostats, especially Google Nest) only support WPA2, while newer devices can function on WPA3 (like the ecobee New Smart Thermostat Enhanced). Consequently, most thermostats (especially Google Nest) will not connect to your WiFi network if it’s set to WPA3 security. Therefore, it’s essential to change the security setting to WPA2/WPA3.

This cable modem almost installed itself. A total breeze and pleasure. All I had to do was set up the wifi and passwords to ones that I had on my previous modem (that, rest its soul, met an untimely death due to a lightning strike) and all of my accessories worked beautifully . I did need to make a phone call to our cable provider to supply the MAC, but that was fast and painless. I probably could have gone with a lesser capacity device, but I strongly believe in overkill.

Fast and easy setup. The range is great! We can now be out by the pool and get reception. Not too noisy or bright.

This modem has good performance and exceeds that of the stock modem i got from comcast. The app also gives me good control of the modem and in a vet user friendly way. If you’re hesitating on the price tag just get it. You’ll love it.

Setup was mostly easy and I got really good coverage throughout the house.

This thing is powerful! My son gets fast speeds for gaming upstairs! With a good wireless adapter of course. My TV, Xbox and Hulu are better because of it. Wifi i can get about a 2400 ft range but I have neighbors on either side. The wifi 6 is another level!

What a difference a cable modem upgrade makes! I am now able to take full advantage of my broadband speed without having to rent a router from Xfinity! It pays for itself!

I got really really tired of cox’s panoramic WiFi box so I went to Best Buy, picked up this router modem combo and hooked it up. The whole process was easy and jeez, The WiFi game changed for me. No more lagging, no more random internet outages and my internet download and upload speed is way faster than I’ve ever had it.

I'm very pleased with this purchase. The Nighthawk AX6000 substantially increased the range and signal strength over my previous router, was simple to set up and provides a useful online monitoring app.

I got this modem to replace my internet company's modem and to see if it fixed the issues I was having, AND IT DID!!! Now I am getting a consistent 950-1gig speeds that I should've had all along

My ISP (WOW) was giving me issues, even after upgrading my internet speed package, still was slow with buffering and drop issues. Researched and swapped out their equipment for this modem/router combo and my service has been better. I would recommend so far.

This thing is amazing. The Wifi speed was well above my expectations. I used the network ports on the back for my PC setup and found no issues with speed there. Very reliable. And the app is pretty cool too.

This is everything as described in the description, plus more! I originally bought a Arris SB8200 along with a NETGEAR CAX80, but was beyond disappointed in the Arris modem. Besides multiple disconnects at random times, the Arris support diagnosed and told me that there wasn’t anything wrong with the modem. Xfinity runs test and said signal is fine. So after two days of lost work, I returned and bought the Nighthawk. I should have went this route to begin with, but sure am glad I didn’t accept the mediocre results from the previous setup. The return process at Best Buy was painless and simple. Setup of the Nighthawk was streamless and all speed tests are steadily around 1100gbps. Definitely worth the premium price!
