I already had another NetGear RAX80 & ASUS GTX 11000. When purchasing this newest CAX80 to replace my current modem/router combo of Xfinity, I was very exited knowing it will give me a future proof of internet of the next several years. While the performance is unreal, I gave 3 stars for the following reason: 1), This is an know issue. It does not save the configuration when I change the name on the Port Forwarding section for my devices. 2). The IP list is not in numeric order when editing services (sort option does not exist), 3). Another known issue is unable to add additional devices to Port Forwarding. To make such a big advertise on this great product and not vested thoroughly on those aspects is a let down form the engineering point of view. Through research, it might be solvable for resetting the device. For that much money and all wonderful things written about it, it's a bit of disappointment. I am thinking of returning it even I truly love the performance.

Strong signal in both 5gz and 2.4ghz. Is capable of handing gigabit speeds as advertised. Haven’t had an issue since I bought it 7 months ago.

I used to have the Cox Panoramic modem and this is faster without changing the plan. The best part is the range is a lot better too. Definitely recommend!

We needed to upgrade so we could get faster WiFi speeds and to assist our TV with streaming as it was having challenges keeping up. Easily installed this NetGear product and now everything is working great!

I am happy with my product so far. The signal is strong and far reaching. It’s got an amazing app that allows me to control the usage which’s awesome as well as the protection for the WiFi. I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants something that is for WiFi .

Our internet have been spotty lately, so we decided to get an upgrade from our Netgear C7000 (AC1900). We have spectrum in our apartment complex and with our old modem+router, we were getting about 50Mbps out of our 400Mbps plan. BUT with this Netgear CAX80, we are now getting 450Mbps with the same plan. WOW!!! But be sure to activate modem+router with your ISP, because it works right out of the box without activation but we were only getting 1Mbps, but after activation that's when we out 450Mbps.

A definite upgrade to the previous Nighthawk router. The modem/router combination has plenty of ethernet ports and the app is easy to use. Set up was interesting when switching routers with our provider but a breeze after set up was completed. The app is helpful and not that confusing to use.

As far as Modem/Router go, this is the best combo you can get. I have 4 tv, 4 gaming consoles, light bulbs, camera, ring doorbells, and a lot more. I think maybe 30 devices are connected to my network and I don’t have any speed issues, and still able to stream 4k movies without buffing, no game lag or connection issues. Worth the buy….

I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. After months of using other gear, I bit the bullet and made the purchase. It covers my entire apartment, connectivity hasn’t dropped a single time since I’ve installed it and the setup process was super easy to follow in the app. I went with the combo as I move around a lot and didn’t want to lug around two devices for my internet needs.

This is my 2nd CAX80. I bought the first one used and it worked well for a couple years then started giving me issues. Figured it had reached it's limit in life so I bought a brand new one. It was definitely time for a new router. All the lagging issues I was having with the previous router are gone. Hopefully I'll get a few more years out of the new one before it kicks the bucket. If not I purchased a plan so I can have it swapped if it gives me any issues. This modem/router does everything I need it to and then some so I am happy with it. Just wish premium parental control was included for the $500 price tag.

Very simple and quick to setup, so far it has been working so good, initially it got deactivated 3 times but it was from my provider, nothing related to this device. I like the fact that you can setup the guest network which is also good to connect IoT devices. My apartment is not that big so won't be able to tell about signal strength in big spaces.

Great piece of tech. My husband started working from home more so we needed to upgrade our wifi to 1000mbps. Finding a router modem combo with the range and power to keep our whole house running was hard, but this has been great for us.

My house is 1200 sqft and it covers it easily. I'm able to connect at the front of the house and at the back of the house. least used electronics are placed on the 2.5hz line and everything else that is used daily or semi daily is put on the 5.0hz line. works immaculately.
