Great product all good modem looking to advance your cable needs buy this product

I was renting the latest modem/router from Xfinity. Out of nowhere my cameras and doorbell lost connection. After multiple hours with support there was no solution to reconnect the cameras back on the 2.4. I purchased the nighthawk and everything reconnected without issues as I can select 2.4 or 5g on the nighthawk. Highly recommend this as a solution for anybody currently renting or having camera connectivity issues.

I was using the modem/router combo from my provider but there was to many blind spots and to much buffering. I upgraded to the NETGEAR Nighthawk Cable Modem WiFi 6 Router Combo (CAX80) and now I am not having issues. Would recommend this to everyone.

Very good router . Made a significant difference from our former router. Easy to install and when we hit an issue the support team was top notch in helping us to resolve !!

I'm not to well versed in technology for WiFi Routers/Modem's but I did my research and I figured that this was the best of both worlds just so you don't have to buy 2 separate things. Essentially it's like Xfinity's router/modem combo except you don't have to pay a monthly bill for that. I am paying 1 GIG download cable for Xfinity and I'm getting 600 down and 40 up with my WiFi 6 laptop. Some issues that I did run into was that Xfinity could not verify that this was a compatible router/modem on their website even with the installer personally talking to them. They suggested that I had to return this and get another but I didn't believe it because I read reviews to this, just like you, seeing that people had this with Xfinity and it was working. So I just followed the instructions on the paper to set up with Netgear and I was able to connect it myself without having to talk to any reps withing 15 minutes. A weird thing that I encountered while having this for a month or so now is that my 5 Ghz channel kicked me off the network only on my phone. I entered the password that I put and it said incorrect and would not let me reconnect for a day or so. Other devices were connected so I don't know why it happened but I'm guessing it was maybe a bug. Other than that though, nothing out of the blue has happened, as far as I can tell. Hope this helps!

Blazing speed over much greater area than my old Motorola. Was a breeze to set up and the testing and admin app is great! Pricey but has eliminated all the drops I had been getting.....killers for all the zoom conferences we are pulled into

I purchased this cable modem router to replace an older cable modem router I have been using for 5 years. This Netgear Nighthawk cable modem router (CAX80) is simply amazing. The instructions were simple to follow and I used the recommended Netgear App and Xfinity App to set it up. I was able to get setup in less than 15 minutes without having to call Xfinity support to set up my new router. I’m enjoying the netgear app testing my speeds, and managing my new cable modem router. The basic features of the app are helpful in letting me monitor my home internet. I’m very happy with the speeds I am getting from this router and the Wi-Fi 6 support. Thanks Netgear for making a great product!

It’s too soon to really know it it’s working great so far with good speed easy set up with Comcast and the included app for set up item is too pricey but is new to market but a modem and router should be much less price.

This item has worked very well. The only troubleshooting that was necessary was changing certain security settings for comparability with devices.

Easy to set up and has taken care of all our signal deopping issues we had with Xfinity. We were also able to get rid of our booster as it handles the whole house no problem.

I bought this all in one to look cleaner and have a smaller footprint. Immediately after I hooked this up it was apparent how superior it was to my previous setup. The speeds are very fast and rock solid both up and down. The app is easy to navigate and the features on a web browser are even better. This is my first NETGEAR product and I’ll never go back.

The install was extremely easy. The speed is fantastic, but the price of the unit could be lower. I would recommend this unit to anyone. I really love the performance.

Great accompanying app and ease of use. Set up was a breeze and the app was super intuitive and user friendly. Speeds and coverage are good, but my place is pretty small, so YMMV. Only gripe is that you only get a trial of Netgear Armor when other companies like ASUS give you free lifetime protection. Infuriating that this modem is my only DOCSIS 3.1 option besides the ISP-provided one from Optimum.

I cannot say enough good things about this router modem. I work from home and spend a lot of my day on zoom and have a multitude of devices that are hooked up to wifi. I am getting roughly 400-500 mbps on my cell phone and 125 mbps on my surface pro for work. I also can now use zoom outside on my deck with no latency issues or reduction of internet speed. This was easy to set up with xfinity and the app is nice to control your devices, which gz band you want for each and to just overall monitor your wifi and router. This was not cheap but you are paying for quality and it pays for itself in a few years.

My internet has been spotty for over a year using Breezeline’s modem along with their extender. Switching to the Netgear Nighthawk has been the best decision I’ve made! I’m able to stream throughout my townhouse without any hiccups! It’s worth every penny!

We were forced to upgrade our router when we found out the reason our old router was not working was because our provider no longer supported it. We were very impressed by the Up/Down speeds of this new router after debating spending so much more for the hype. I tell you what, it certainly lived up to the hype! We now have range into the basement, garage, and surrounding yard at full connection and speed with this bad boy. It eliminated any need for a mesh system, repeaters, or boosters as we had previously.

Best Router AND Modem I've ever owned. After years of struggling with slow speeds and dropouts, not to mention rental fees, from my internet provider, those issues are all gone now. Feels amazing. Another thing to note is that the Armor feature is fantastic, the fact that it can block spam or harmful popups WHILE you're browsing is awesome, I can browse worry free and then Armor will let me know they blocked something and from what device. This includes all devices, even phones, that are connected to your WiFi. I love this thing, I never thought I'd invest in my own modem but I'm glad I did.
