The firmware on this router is horrible. The access control that used to work flawlessly on my old netgear doesn’t work at all. So much for an extra level of security. For the money, it should work flawlessly. I’ve always been a netgear fan, but this router gives me pause for concern with their other products.

This is a brand new router introduced by Netgear. The product has lots of bugs and are not perfected yet, very unstable working. Spent 2 solid days with tech support and finally decided to return it. I bought this product because if it high 4.5 rating but I am not sure how it can be possible.

Amazing router that lives up to its hype!

I recently replaced the Netgear X4S (R7800) after having continuous dropouts and slowed internet connection with the Netgear RAXE300 router. After install and using for several days the only thing I noticed was an increase in the distance and a very slight speed increase and i ultimately wasn’t impressed. Still I decided I would keep it as it was better than the X4S, but I decided to purchase the RAXE500 to test drive and boy was I impressed! The RAXE500 immediately showed an internet speed increase that I’ve never reached before and the distance was also slightly better or on par with the RAXE300. Overall for my 4400sqft home, the RAXE500 has shown impressive consistency in increased download speeds and coverage for the 20 connected devices on the network. To be more specific with the bands, the 2.4ghz appears to be much faster and stronger in distance, the 5ghz is also blazing fast and reaches distances about as far as the 2.4 ghz with this router. The 6ghz for me was fast but had very short coverage and was unusable. Maybe with a 6e extender this could be beneficial, however; the speeds that I’m receiving doesn’t leave me caring too much. This routers powerful gpu truly shows and lives up to the hype. The coverage and speed is amazing, and this definitely lives up to the hype. I do suggest enabling the MU-MIMO and OFDMA on all three bands to achieve the best performance out of this router. Just buy it!!!!

I've had this router since December 2021 and its still the best router there is. The speeds are just ridiculous. I can be maxing out my 500mbs internet speed downloading a huge file while at the same time watching a 4k remux movie on Plex from my pc to tv thay has a 100mbs bit rate and it doesnt break a sweat. The app is easy to use and has all the basic options for a quick check. But logging in on a browser to the router is where all the options are there are a ton of them. All the newest networking features that i had to research. Unless your waiting for Wifi 7 this is the wifi 6E king.

Very unreliable, devices keep losing connection; a reboot of the router is required each time. Never had this problem with verizon router. Unlike ASUS routers, Netgear routers require a Fire wall subscription to acces fire wall features.

Installed with a base spec 2015 iMac running on a 400mbps down/20mbps up Spectrum account with the computer approx 15 feet from the computer. Ookla consistently shows approx 480mbpx down/24mbps up with 5G connection. No connectivity issues and stable. Not used for gaming so no experience in that area. My preference would be for a computer configuration app rather than a cellphone app but you take what you can get. Probably costs too much.
