    Easy to install

    I had only one problem when installing the Nighthawk. I put the ethernet cord for the computer connection in the wrong slot. After fixing that, I have had no concerns at all. All devices on the Wifi are working well.

    Got this router to replace some Plumes I got for my house. Internet kept dropping before but with this rs200, I have not had a single issue!

    Works great with Spectrum 500 modem

    There is very little attenuation between the modem and the ethernet connection from the router to my computer. This is mostly what I use. Also, the setup was very easy.

    got this router because my computer had the absolute WORST connectivity to my old one ran into a lot of problems with this one (still am) but im blaming my stupid isp, not the router best part is that this can also be used as an AP which is awesome

    Had to have tech support help with the setup because I wasn't able to login to the Nighthawk app, which was supposed to have setup instructions. Other than that so far so good.

    Worst Experience

    Bought this to replace my ASUS RT-AX82U (which worked for 3-4 years seamlessly, just switched to gig internet) Setup and app configuration was easy to get started. Worked for about 2-3 weeks without issues. Then my computer (that's hardwired in) started to lose connection and not work for around an hour or more at a time. I thought it had to be the cables, switch, or even my computer! But after replacing the cables, the switch to the same NETGEAR brand, and even some of my computer components, left me with the same issue. I've only seen one other review saying the same thing I had an issue with, that being DHCP device and IP address reservations never working correctly and IP address never retain the assigned IP address as they should. Its been everyday now and customer service led me on a total goose chase, ending with that it had to be the switch that I had just bought and replaced the night prior to contacting them, what a joke! I wouldn't recommend this router to anyone that likes to have a stable internet connection.

      If your RS200 is not assigning IP addresses via DHCP, meaning devices aren't getting an IP address, you should first try rebooting the router and checking your router settings. To setup your DHCP, please refer to the device User Manual beginning on page 43: https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/RS200/RS200_RS150_UM_EN.pdf.

    Nighthawk RS200 (BE6500) is nothing but trouble!

    I recently replaced my Netgear AC1750 router R6400 with a new RS200 (BE6500). I have two Netgear range extenders so I thought I'd get another Netgear product. I've had nothing but difficulties setting it up. Initially, I spent 2 hours on the phone with Netgear support before everything was working properly. For the last two weeks, I've been fighting with Access Control which blocks my iPhone, iPad, and a number of Smart Home devices from connecting to the router. Access Control. Looks like I'll be losing another chunk of my life to the Netgear support line trying to get this miserable thing to work. It almost seems like Netgear over-engineered their software. Run, run away from this router!

    Not compatible with Verizon Fios

    If you have Verizon Fios and a Nokia ONT, stay away from this router because your speeds will be limited. I have a 300/300 plan and only get about 50mbps up. Theres a WAN negotiation issue which has been confirmed on the Netgear forums(that was for the rs700, this model has the same issue).
