Pretty great device. My primary router (Asus RT-AC87) is inconveniently placed at a far corner of my house. I placed the extender just inside the range of the router to hit the far corner of my yard where I've wanted a WiFi camera but just couldn't get stable connectivity. Setup was a breeze and I enabled the mesh feature hoping to eliminate reconnects or additional configurations. Everything worked very well on the first try. Now my entire property has coverage with a single SSID. The only "issue" I've come across is that my devices tend to prefer the extender over my main router and it can be difficult to determine which way my device is connected. Haven't found a situation when it mattered yet.

Never gave a consistent signal. Experienced too much signal drop in the same room as the extender. Expected more for the price.

I have trouble getting this extender to pick up signals that aren't that far away. I expected much better range.

The directions and unit is disappointing. It did not work as designed.

We were hoping for coverage in our back yard but we were unable to achieve our goal.

The range is not very good, and it drops signal multiple times a day.

We have had slow WiFi forever. I call Cox, they blame it on my equipment. I go to Best Buy and they say all my equipment is good and update. I was hoping this would help some of the rooms farther from my nighthawk router. I’m sure the problem is probably something to do with Cox.

Not worth the money. It really covers very little space.

Full disclosure: I got this device from Netgear for testing and review purposes. That being said, this was very easy to set up and use. I connected it to my network in under 5 minutes using WPS, and it required no other changes to set up. I just moved it within my house and started covering some weak signal areas immediately. All of my devices passed seamlessly between my router and the X4S during handoffs. I've had it up for several weeks with no problems. My only real issue was the brightness of the status LED's. I struggled to find a convenient yet effective location that wouldn't create a problem at night. Anything near our bedroom or my daughter's meant closing the doors or being kept up by the light. It's also a little large for a wall plug mounted device. It's a little distracting and easy to run into in hallways. Other than that, it works very well, and I love it.

Initially worked well with my AT&T service until I needed to get into my VPN service at work. It would lock up my service and required for me to restart VPN service or at times AT&T Router.

I needed to extend the range of my wi-fi for a ring doorbell. It didn't make any difference. The signal didn't strengthen.

DIDN'T WORK, BAD INFO FROM SALES PERSON, WASN'T EASY NED TO FIND A SYSTEM THAT SOMEONE CAN EXPLAIN HOW TO GET PRODUCTS WORKING. CALLED GEEK SQUAD AND GOT DIFFERENT COMMENTS.

Not easy to setup could not tell it was working seen no difference in WiFi. Returned to store

Drops signals very frequently, ridiculous customer service, don’t waste your money

I set this up and my WiFi stopped working. It was intermittently not working. I unplugged and WiFi is fine ever sense.

This product was not worth the money and every day the system would lose my connection. I suggest just a section router.

We returned it ,it did not boost our service or help with internet speed. It continually dropped phone calls.

We purchased this to help with our internet and we still have the same problem. We will have to return it.

I couldn't get this to work - so I returned it. It just didn't want to work with my ASUS router.
