I don't understand networks and wireless, but I think this unit is working. This is a second one I'm using to cover my single story 2200 square foot home.

Needed a WiFi extender to reach my new office area in my house where I also have desktops with wired connections. This supplied a very strong fast signal via WiFi and wired connections for my desktops all without having to fish new wire around/through my house.

This extender exceeded expectations. Prior to the Nighthawk we purchased a Linksys Velop system (recommend by Best Buy employee) and the range on the system was terrible. This single extender now reaches not only our whole house, but across the street. Save money and get a good extender instead of a mesh system.

I got this Mesh Extender to help my Nighthawk Router give me better coverage. So far so goo, speeds have been higher and connectivity has been better.

Difficult to setup, but decent speeds and connectivity. I was surprised however that my ping rate in video games was substantially lower though (e.g., Rocket League). Good wifi throw. Lots of connectivity options in the back (i.e., USB and CAT-5) if that's your thing. I used it to connect to a Netgear router. Ultimately returned it for a Google Nest Wifi Mesh system. Just needed something that worked and could be tracked easily.

It extended my wifi signal. Now, my wireless outside security cam has 2-3 bars consistently whereas before I regularly loss signals to them. My Netgear AX 12 router can not cover the entire house and outside, but paired with Netgear X6S extender, I have full signal in and some outside.

I purchased this on sale over the holidays. Excellent choice as it works great. Setup was simple enough and its performance is phenomenal. i live in a pre-war building which can be overwhelming with signal issues. The extender performs as it should. I have not run into any problems or issues.

Purchased two units for myself and a family member. Setup was very easy - one tie in utilized WPS which was extremely simple and the other required app download for connection but this too was simple. Each provided the extended coverage desired.

Perfect for extra range. works with C7800 Netgear gateway. Comcast customer and im not willing to pay monthly rental fees on comcast owned devices. Bought own gateway to use and this extender works great to cover the whole house.

Setup wasn't as easy as suggested. First unit I had resulted in slower Internet speeds than when I first started. Performed factory reset and had same result. Called Netgear support and they suggested another factory reset. Told them that had been done already, but did it just to appease them. Still slower speeds. They suggested I return and replace it. Second unit at first had the same issue. Performed another factory reset and this time it worked great. Setup on both devices required firmware upgrades. Once up and running it seems to be working fine. Still haven't tested range of extender.

Powerful extender. Works great with the tri band nighthawk. Mesh works well between the two. Cuts out a time or two but been reliable besides that.

I purchased this extender because of dead spots on the 2nd floor. My router is located in the basement (not ideal). I set this unit up as an access point through Ethernet connection and it works perfectly. There are no more dead spots around my house. Setup was fairly easy. Very satisfied.

The WiFi to my bedroom was not good. I tried xfinity xpods which did get some coverage, but speed was greatly reduced from the modem speed. This extender delivers much more speed. Very happy with it. Using xfinity gateway and it works well.

So far it does what it is designed to do. I originally purchased a different NetGear model but after spending a few hours speaking with NetGear Technical Support, they said it was defective and to return in to Best Buy. Unfortunately, as often happens, the model purchased is no longer available so I had to purchase this “newer” model. I had some initial problems when I set up the Extender using the “One Name” option, which is one of the selling points of the unit. Once I turned off the “One Name” option and set up the Extender with it’s own network names (xxxxExt and xxxx-5Ext) it looks to be working. It is hard to measure download/upload speeds since my provider uses the “Speeds Up To xxx” to deliver me a much slower speed than I pay for. I will let it run and see how it does in a few weeks, luckily I bought it close to Christmas so the time to return it is longer.

Bought this to pair with my Nighthawk R7000 router. Worked well for first couple of weeks but now seems to have connectivity issues on my router’s 5G connection. Have reset to factory settings and re-setup but issues continued. Extender is less than 80 ft from router in a single story home with no real walls or barriers. I like Netgear products and will keep trying to resolve with their support.

I bought this range extender over Thanksgiving and saved $50. I have my router on the 2nd floor of a three family house and needed internet in the basement and behind the house. The signal strength doubled with this Netgear range extender. A little pricy, but work.

This extender has done a great job of boosting my wifi connection. I have a Netgear Nighthawk router, which does a pretty good job on its own, but for various reasons, it needs to be based in my basement. The extender does a great job at increasing coverage upstairs.
