I did a LOT of research before buying this device. The NETGEAR - Nighthawk Mesh X6S Tri-Band WiFi Mesh Extender kept coming out on top. Good price and easy to install.

We were having a problem getting wifi throughout our house. Once i got this installed we have excellent reception everywhere. Really easy to install as well.

Got this extender because our wifi was very weak reaching the back of our house. This netgear nighthawk extender really helped the bars go up towards the back of the house. When installing your best bet is to download the netgear app to guide you through the installation. The instructions say you can do a quick install using the wps button on the back of the router but it didn't work correctly for me so I decided to just get the app and within a few minutes the extender was up and running. Now we have full bars all around the house.

Works very well to extend the signal to our whole house. No more lost signal if move to another room.

I am not internet savvy, so when my son in law recommended this, I bought it. VERY good choice. It has really helped even out net reception in my home.

This unit was suppose to extend wi-fi to a dead spot in my house. problem is when it disconnects (power failure, network hiccup, etc.) then you have to bring it close to router again to reconnect a lot of times. The leds are hard to read and its not the best looking unit. I have had other nighthawk routers too connect with this and they are problematic too, crashing, disconnecting. I switched to Netgear's Orbi system and network has been rock solid for a year. Stay away from the Nighthawk stuff. Not reliable unless you like resetting your network all the time. This is expensive for what it is and not worth the money.

I can't say of sure that it is this product itself that is the issue. I have Spectrum as my ISP, this is my second NetGear product I have bought in hopes of getting better WiFi in the front of my house since my Spectrum router is in the back of the house. Both NetGear Extenders I have bought will eventually prevent me from connecting to the Internet even though they show full strength connections. I have to shut down the extender and power back up, wait for it to cycle through the boot sequence and then I can finally reconnect to the internet. I wish I could test this with another ISP to see if it is my ISP or the unit itself that is the issue. I can't recommend this product without knowing all the information that I need in order to make a valid claim.

I was having very poor signal on one side of the house. This router addressed that and we have not had a wifi problem since with the TV showing 4k video without issues.

The item was relatively easy to set up, it just took awhile.

It was easy to setup and works as advertised. Would buy it again.

Nice addition to my Netgear modem/router. This has eliminated all weak wifi areas in and around our house, to include our basement.

Was easy-to-use and setup. Press two buttons and if the are compatible they link up. Uses existing router name and password. No need to change router names when moving around.

I bought it for extending the Wi-Fi to my security cameras outside of the house and it has never failed me. Super easy to program from my iPhone too.

I have a netgear nighthawk X10 (great powerful router) but due to the layout and location of my home business office and the materials that make up the walls of my early 1900's home as well as the many walls between rooms the signal struggles to get to the furthest point of the basement where our down stairs home theater is. This extender did the trick it was easy seamless setup using the netgear app, i was able to place it on a shelf in the center of the home behind some decor and the wifi signal is astounding. I would recomend this solution to anyone who is locked into a less than ideal router location. Thanks Netgear

I live in a 2 story house and game downstair. My wireless router is upstair and I used this to extend its range and it worked. I tend to lose connection less.

It was easy to set up. Works great and has a great range.

This has made all the difference in my house. It works even better than my main wifi router. I great great speeds all around my house now.

Had dead spots throughout my house. There is not one single spot you can’t go without losing signal on my property. So easy to setup. Def recommend

I bought this extender because streaming in certain parts of my house was almost impossible. My streaming device kept buffering. This extender was easy to set up. I placed it half way between the router and the streaming device and bingo my streaming device was no longer buffering. The only change I would make would be to make it Quad band instead of Tri Band.
