Mesh systems work great if you have one device

In fact, my antiquated Belkin extender works significantly better. I set up the X6S both as a one name seamless mesh system, and after that failed to work effectively due to a poor search and resolve process (X6S couldn't hold a signal consistently when a device could easily "see" both the main router and the X6S), a stand alone extender, which failed to provide even the most basic secure connection for any length of time. And yes, I did follow every instruction and procedure exactly.

Takes time to set up properly

Did not work with my spectrum router

Both Best Buy & Geek Squad are excellent by the way. This product just did not work with my set up.

Should have listened to the BestBuy rep.

The BestBuy rep said "Don't get this as most people bring it back". Well, 6 months in and mine has "bricked". The power light is red and the white status lights are blinking. I looked this up and it is a hardware failure. I can't take it back to BestBuy and NetGear won't return my calls, so into the trash it goes.
