The internet keeps losing connection !!! Don't buy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 2 weeks of use, my connection speed changed significantly but continuously lost connection. I use both ethernet cable and wifi and they take turns losing connection. If I have a device that uses ethernet, the wireless device will lose the signal and I have to reset it every day

Nothing but problems
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked for about 3 months, then constantly needed to be reset. Best Buy won’t exchange as its past their determined date. Will never buy anything from Best Buy again that I can get at Costco or on Amazon, as both back the products they sell far better and easier than Best Buy.

Returned
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 5 hours of set up, terrible customer support from Netgear and countless crashes of my internet I called Bestbuy to return. Bestbuy immediately took it back and replaced with a different system that has been everything Nighthawk advertised. No more Netgear for me.

Like all my netgear items- it failed
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to supplement signal from my nighthawk router. Both of them failed. Netgear's warranty is garbage. In order to get some of the high end features, absolutely all quality control is lost. Save your money- you will regret this purchase once it fails and you have no recourse.

Hot garbage
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don’t waste your time. Prior to purchase, I did a lot of research and the reviews were pretty mixed. This equipment is terrible, and Netgear tech support is pretty much useless. Luckily BB has a great return policy. Save yourself a hassle and find a better product.

Bad purchase
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use Netgear equipment and decided to get this as a mess range extender. Worked fine for a few weeks then started dropping or not connecting to the wireless router. Tried all the remedies from Netgear and online. Nothing works. Expensive paper weight.

Doesn't work and customer service is HORRIBLE!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Spent $190 on this top-of-the-line Netgear product and it stopped working after 5 weeks. Worse yet, trying to get help from Netgear "Customer Service" is nothing short of torture. I will be returning the unit today.

works OK
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The mesh extender did increase my coverage area and boosted the speeds available to all the nooks and crannies of the building plus some distance out into the yard. However even though the network name stays the same, the extender is not addressable unless you are on the network emanating from the extender. This can be an issue if for example you wish to get into the settings of either your primary router, or, the extender and you find you are not on the 'local' network of the device you wish to address. We also could not print to our wireless printer that shows as connected to the primary router even if our computing device is on the extender's network of the same name. In order to work, the printer and computer must both be talking directly to the same device - either the primary router or the extender. I guess there is still some advantage to the way it works but I cannot say why they would do that. The Netgear tech support team also confirmed to me that was the way it works today although it may change later. That was not what I expected when I bought the extender but I will trade that to get the faster speeds for streaming. A true extender would have two radios to handle the task so I am guessing this device only has one. They are really not providing an extension of the same logical network, otherwise it would find my printer. It is a different network that has the same name. Maybe Netgear can fix that in the future. Setup was easy and it improves what coverage we had.

Excellent for extending wifi coverage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy setup, easy to connection. Offers band steering for devices that need more to receive more. Has one radio for wifi connection, then another radio to rebroadcast - so it doesn't cut the received connection in half when it repeats it. Has excellent coverage area.. used it for several months now and no problems at all.

Not user-friendly, barely compatible with Comcast
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Extremely incompatible with Comcast Gateway router, app is not user-friendly. When finally connected, it does as advertised but it's not a quick set-up or connection.
