Purchased this when my boss's router died. It was easy to set up and works like a dream.

The Netgear Nighthawk Pro is sold as a gaming router - but that's all advertising. It's good for anyone who needs a high-speed (100+mbps) router for multiple users in the household. This router will satisfy. I bought this to replace two other routers because the PASSWORD kept getting changed without my knowledge. I looked into it and these brands (dlink and linksys) had been hacked. I had the same problem with this router (the password was changed) after one week and realized one of two things was happening: 1) A neighbor was messing with me 2) (more likely) the large number of routers in my neighborhood were conflicting and my computers were mistaking some other router for mine - hench the password mixups. The admin panel for this router is AMAZING. I've never seen such a comprehensive set of options including performance graphs. I changed my router's "channel" and also make the SSID (router name) "hidden". Then I set the router name and password to something I could easily remember. This solved my problem. I have yet to go back to my older routers to see if it was them, or the local conflicts that was my problem. But in the meantime, I have an incredibly powerful and fast router manage all the devices in my home.

Good if you need it for a house with multiple devices connected. It is able to put out a signal that can go through plaster walls, and still give off a good enough signal to reach my back yard. you can set it up and control how much of your bandwidth certain devices get, which is useful.

This router does everything that it claims and more. Living in a household of 6 with devices constantly going tends to put a strain on my gaming, even with gigabit internet. This router helps me to prioritize my console as well as my son's but still leaving plenty of bandwidth for everyone else streaming on their devices.

The setup was super simple and quick. No more lag and zero outtages since install.

I needed help from a friend who is a computer programmer to help me set this up as I already had a rather poor full-service wifi/router combo and had to turn off the router on it. But, once that was accomplished with help, the unit has worked great. Signal downstairs from the router is powerful. I am glad I bought the Nighthawk.

I love this router. I have a 500mb internet speed at my home. I was only getting speeds around 100mb with the equipment supplied to me from Spectrum. I play video games and stream a lot of content. I needed more available bandwidth. After buying this router I’m clocking speeds of over 480mb with WiFi 5G.

If you're a gamer and like to play fps games, especially Call of Duty, then get this router. The features within this router will help improve lag, which means no more controllers, consoles, and tv's being thrown out the window. The user interface is very easy to manage. Simple to connect and easy to setup. Enjoy crushing your enemies in your games!

This router is fast and allows for user control of bandwidth. It also allows tailoring of searches for game servers, which can help someone to maintain great connections during online streaming/online gaming. Good out of the box, but great when you take the time to learn the best way to use it.

Bought this to help boost our WiFi at home after the lockdown happened in mid-March of 2020. Our older router was not able to support three laptops running all day for work and school. The kids Zoom/Google Meet calls were freezing up. Once we installed the new router, no more speed issues.

I recently upgraded to Centurylinks 1 gig fiber internet and did not want to rent their router for 10 bucks a month and decided to purchase this, i am not only getting faster wifi speeds with this router but i also get prioritization with my gaming devices as the router will send them more bandwidth. Its basically fast and i dont lag.

Great router! Easy setup, looks good, really like the software on this one. The WiFi range is better than what I had before, without extenders. The only con I can see, if you could call it a con, is that it is fairly large and doesn't wall mount. But still a highly recommended router!

This is a great step up from the starter routers it is fast and has no lag as I run my t.v.s game systems and computers and phones all at the same time. I am very happy I took the sells persons advise at best buy and up graded to this router as it has made a huge difference to my tech world. thank you best buy Jason.

Great router for all your internet and gaming needs

I would like to give this 5 stars but between AT&T internet and this device I have not been able to isolate slowdowns. the device is great and if it detects too much of an issue I have witnessed it rebooting on its own. very cool.
