Was working well until my gateway got replaced and AT&T would not reinstall. In my closet. Very disappointed after spending so much money. BJ's was not helpful.

I didn't buy this router for gaming, but the DumaOS QoS feature is incredible. If you really want to control how much bandwidth every connected device on your network consumes, then the XR500 is your router.

Got this router to replace my isp provided all in one. Getting better speeds and overall better quality internet as a direct result. Great for gamers. Some nice features for those who game and the app and web portal are both nice and feature rich.

Its a good router, it works best on newer games obviously .... If you are playing an older game for example cod mw3 and there aren't too many players online or in your radius dont expect to get perfect ping... but works very good for newer cod games with a lot of people online

I purchased this router due to great reviews. It replaced another Netgear router which worked fine but I wanted something with more flexibility. This router is good. Setup was very simple. It is the best router I have owned to date.

I have had several dual band routers that would allow you to use dual bands at the same time they all would drop signal and disconnect you but this one works great!!! No problems and doesnt slow down when you have multiple devices connected!!

Great signal, cool looking. But the higher price for duma is is worthless. Here is what you need to understand. Closing your network down to a perimeter does work. But most games will just kick you out with errors because if you don’t allow the games network to decide your gonna have problems. I could see the benefit of you live in Cali or New York but if you live in the Midwest and not in a huge city where servers are. It’s not gonna make a bit of difference. Unfortunately unless the game you like to play has servers very close it will just make it hard to join anything. And if you did live close the game servers are gonna put you in local anyway. I was paying for 400 speed and never reached 400 internet speed with an old rented cable modem. Highest I received was 130 but was paying for 400. Now that I bought the XR500 I now receive 411 speed. My internet know SCREAMS!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE NETGEAR Nighthawk Pro XR500!!!

Works flawlessly for gaming connection and fro filtering. I don’t use the wifi on the system since I have and orbi mesh system but I get the full gigabit internet speed and wasn’t too difficult to get up and running.

This router means business. Its a little pricey, but worth every penny. Set up is relatively easy. The more advanced software that runs with it can be a little tricky to tinker with. But make no mistake, this is a legit router for gaming.

Expensive? Relative term, it's such an essential item to most of us and I started with the cheapest and went up each time until I got this. Haven't needed anything else since, very fast, very stable and very consistently just works.

It’s a good router when it wants to work. I’ve had to reset it twice already. It would only connect to half the items in my house at one point. Otherwise it’s a great router!

I have been extremely happy with my Netgear purchase. This is so simple to setup and once it is it's game-on! I am not very tech savvy and it was still simple to hookup. If you are a Gamer and searching for a router, this is the one to get!

This is the first gaming router I have purchased. With 2 Gamers in the house, it is a must if you do not want lag when gaming. It was fairly easy to set up using the Netgear app.

I play CSGO on a competitive level I kept having a weird lag when I would pull out a weapon the weapon wouldn't come out or would lag when coming out. this router fixed my issue.
