I bought this router to solve the range problems I was experiencing with my other router. I used to have a range extender on the other end of my house to help fill in the gaps, but it kept dropping. With this new router in the place of my old one, I have been able to turn off the range extender and have no signal issues anywhere in my house. The throughput is excellent and the 802.11ac speeds are amazing. I can read/write to my attached USB 3.0 hard drive very quickly now.

I did some intensive research prior to picking this up. I needed something that would distribute my high speed internet to the many devices I have. I'm talking smart Tv, the cell phones, xbox, playstation, and all the guests that come over too. I didn't want to break too much bank but I do know that I'm getting what I pay for. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment so I needed something that will cover my living area as well as all my devices. A must have for a tech guru!

I switched from my service provider's modem/router and got far better results. I don't have any lag while streaming and I am thoroughly impressed with how simple it is to set up! Great product and I will upgrade to the newest model in the near future! If you are looking to get away from your ISP throttling your connection with their equipment then this is what you are looking for. The range on the wifi is excellent and solid! I would recommend this product to anyone!

I was expecting a fast and reliable Wi-fi router. Well my friends, that is exactly what I got. I haven't had any drops or speed issues on any of my devices that are connected to it. I have about 8 devices to date. From cell phones, laptops, tv''s, and tablets. No complaints on 2.4ghz or 5ghz mode. It was very easy to connect and the Netgear Genie is very user friendly and helpful.

Netgear Genie is good for fast set up for home network. Little trouble to setup DLNA server from usb3 port. Overall good speed for XBOX ONE, reduced lag time to 8ms, PS3 and 12 other devices shared the wireless network flowless so far. It has been 2 months. Working great.

Handles like a dream, streaming multiple HD video feeds an mobile devises at the same time. Range is strong as well.

I bought this based on a lot of pondering over reviews and ratings. Electronics are not my strong suit - I wanted something that solidly performed in the background without hassle. This wi-fi router does that. An added bonus for me is that it even reaches to my stand-alone workshop: about 80 feet away from my router's placement in my home.

I bought this after I started having issues with both my Xfinity all in one, and my Netgear WNDR3400/N600 after upgrading my wifi card in my laptop to an Intel 7260AC. I would get random disconnects, and my speed wasn't any faster than the 6200AN card I replaced. My service is the 100/10 from Comcast. Directly connected to the router I could get those speeds, but I mostly use WiFi, and I would get 1/4 the speed I should be getting. I purchased this R7000 Nighthawk, and I'm seeing the speeds I would expect using WiFi and an AC card. It's super fast, easy to setup, has the best range I have ever seen in a wireless router, and has some really nice features. The parental controls are really nice because you can set them from anywhere you have an internet connection, including you cellphone. Plus I can set a time to disable my sons PS4's so they aren't up all night playing while I sleeping. Plus it allows remote access, which is major + for me. Don't let the price deter you. This will bring a whole new meaning of speed to you WiFi, granted you have the right equipment to take advantage of it.

This router is fast and coverage is great. it covers my entire 1200 sq. ft apartment. Setup is very easy.

I purchased this more expensive router in hopes that I will never have to replace it due to increase internet speed or the amount of devices I will connect to it. By no means did I need this powerful router but I am hoping it will last me the next 20 years. So far no issues and really easy to setup. I setup up over my iPad. The Cable/Internet guy said this is one of the best routers to have for a ton of devices and maximum range. My Fingers are crossed.

Had problem after problem with wireless internet in our house using several different Linksys routers and access points. I finally gave up and purchased the Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 dual band wireless router on the advice of a friend. Very easy to install. Worked immediately. Covers the entire house without the need for access points or extenders. VERY HAPPY!

Works great. Was able to get access to my entire house and the kids love it. Great speeds and love the app that helps view stats.

We have owned the Nighthawk R7000 for approximately 2 months and are very satisfied with the speed and reliability of the router. PROS: Reliable wifi with good dual band range Fast speeds Handles many devices Sleek look CONS: A bit pricey BOTTOM LINE: We are satisfied with the router and the value for what we paid. I am a bit jealous of the form factor of the newer routers coming out from Google and others, but that is purely cosmetic.

i purchased a netgear router before this one. it was 79.95 and gave it about 2 weeks. i figured i wouldnt have to invest too much into a router for a small home and having my ps4 connected with ethernet cable and having a tv and a couple phones hooked up to it. i was wrong. do yourself a favor upgrade to this. so much better. the range is great. and speed is constant. no lagging in video streaming and great gaming on my ps4. overall happy.

This was a great upgrade to my network. With the number of connected devices reaching double digits my old router was just not up to the task I believe. I was thinking my internet wasn't too fast. but this router really helped out. DL speeds more than doubled. And now seeing speeds over 50Mbps where previously it rarely got above 20. My only complaint here is it is pretty big and takes up a lot of space. Setup was easy enough, similar to other routers.

router was easy to set up. Speeds are good and reach are good, if you game you need to tweak a few of the settings.

Well my Netgear WNR2000 finally died after 5 years not bad! So with more devices in my house Smart TVs IPhones tablets wifi desktops I needed this router it is amazing in terms of speed and set-up and thee Netgear Genie is pretty cool too. Super fast speed I like the fact that now I can use all devices at once and not suffer from a bad Wifi connection.

After 6 months of calling tech support for Time Warner, research, trial and error I ended up with this Netgear Nighthawk r7000. Almost every tech site rating routers places this router well within the top 5 routers to buy, and I can see why. I currently pay for 50 MB download and 5 MB upload speeds, I am consistently pulling 117 MB downloads, uploading at 12 MB visit WIFI according to OOkla speed test. I am utilizing my Motorola SBG6580 all in one surfboard as a stand alone modem while using the Netgear Nighthawk r7000 as my wireless and wired router, the performance of the combination is astounding. Buy this product, you will not regret it. Used a Time Warner combination all in one at time of sign up, terrible. Constant reseting, devices not loading, devices disconnecting and the speeds were 35-40/2-5, insanely slow, we could not even stream Netflix. I then switched to the Motorola SBG6580 (at a cost of $179) to improve speeds. While our speeds did go to an average of 65-70/5-7 we still had major traffic issue, disconnection issues, range issues and constant need to restart. The combination of the Motorola and Nighthawk was an absolute home run, one happy networked family here. James B NC.

Did a lot of research online and talked with a few reps. at Best Buy that all recommended Netgear. Well Made,Nice Design,Great Performance and Easy Setup. This unit was a little costly however used it is the center of all that access it. In other words.......................... Gaming,Streaming,Downloading and Communication of all types.
