Had issues with my old router going offline. So, a new one was in order. This one is stuck in a corner in my basement and I still get 5 bars in my bedroom 2 floors above it. No buffering, no lag, no need for a system that you plug a booster in to the wall on every floor. A Netgear fan and this one has not disappointed me.

We have used Netgear routers before but with teenagers in the house the wireless demand exceeded what the router produced. The Nighthawk solved our issue. It provides faster service which satisfies multiple user access and higher streaming demand. It also has better range so we can get internet access in the pool house now as well. Great product!

Installed router on 12/15/2014.
Netgear router works well.
Have approximately 8 wireless devices on network. All on-line and no dropped devices.
We have 2400 sq. ft. 2 story house, and have no complaints.
No problem setting up unit and the Netgear Genie works well too.
Well worth it!

I'm not an IT whiz, but this product was easy to install and it meets my needs perfectly. My previous router was unable to handle the number of devices that are now on our home network without frequent rebooting. This router has had zero problems in its first month of use.

Me and my wife both have Xbox Ones, and were having issues playing online games together. After a good month of research and recommendations from friends I went out and got this affordable router. The only reason this is getting 4 stars is because set up was difficult through my Xfinity Modem. I spent the first hour trying to set it up myself, I’m fairly tech savvy and still had issues. I ended up having to call up Xfinity and had the first lady do exactly what I had done then transfer me to an Xfinity "modem/networking specialist". he wasn't much help. after I hung up with Xfinity, I called the Netgear customer support and they had me set up in half an hour. I was still having issues with obtaining the ever elusive open NAT type. I got both Xbox from strict to moderate. From there I was able to do some port triggering and forwarding, and adjusting other setting and have perfect open NAT throughout the whole house. Couldn't recommend it more for online gaming, the separate 2.4 and 5G channels are great. Looks Sharp, and doesn't interfere, or is effected by medium/high end wireless headsets. The only thing that sucks is the setup. Spent a good 6 Hours Getting everything up and running properly. Don't waste too much time with Xfinity if they are your provider, just have them forward your modem then call NETGEAR.

My Linksys router was starting to fail to the point where I had such a low speed that I could not access the Internet or work from home on my laptop. In my research, I came across this great router and once I installed it, my speed was even faster than before. I’m very happy with it and it was very easy to set up!

This router makes my wifi signal go further making it available in some places where I didn't have a signal before. Also, if your household has many devices going at the same time this router has 2 signals at 2.4ghz and 5ghz which will help improve the speed. So far I love it!!

I purchased this to replace my old wireless router. The range and speed of this one is much better than the old one. When the cable guy came to help me with cable issues, he installed this for me and told me it was better than the ones that you can rent from the cable provider.

Router replaced a Linksys router that died (less than 3-years old). The Netgear has much better range, such that I was able to eliminate a wireless extender and still have a STRONGER signal out in my shop. Easy set up. So pleased with its performance that I replaced an older router at our church with one of these.

This router is not exactly the newest model, but I am using this router with the fastest speeds Cox offers and with the boost of my laptop and this router on a 4500sqft home- I am receiving over 180mbps. Couldn't be happier.

I had a specialized gaming router for about 4 years. It worked great but it started to become a little laggy with the more devices being used at the same time. Decided it was time to upgrade. This router is insane, my ipad get just as fast of a connection as my hardwired xbox one. The range is insane, not a deadspot in my 3400 sf house and the front and back yard have almost a 25 yard radius for my wifi signal. Not a dead spot in my house, front yard or back yard. I live on just under a half acre with the rout set up smack in the middle of the house which is in the middle of the lot.

Easy to set up. The range on this router is terrific. It is set up at the back of my house and I can receive the Wi-Fi signal across the street at the school playground. I have a strong signal everywhere throughout the house and even on the patio/driveway. Highly recommend

This router works very well and is perfect for a large home or even an office. We are using it at a building used for volunteer work and religious services. The connection is very reliable, fast, has great range and a ton of parental control options. Also, the Genie software is spectacular. Our only gripe is that fact that the router is pretty large and doesn't fit well into the area we put it in. But this is only a small concern. Also, it would be nice if you could adjust the antennae forward and back, instead of just side to side. But overall the router is phenomenal.

This router is amazing, it is single handedly capable of running all of my wifi enabled items, in a 3500 square foot home, that accounts for an iMac, Mac Book Pro, Apple TV, three iPads, two iPhone 5's, two smart tv's, a PS4, XBox 360, and two smart blue ray players. This router is the first one I've had in years that can enable all these devices to run without delay at the same time... The router is centrally located upstairs in the loft, and I get service in my garage, the attic and anywhere in between. Overall just an amazing product.
If there was a con about this router, it's in the price... But you get what you pay for, and this router has not made me think twice of its high price.

Netgear Nighthawk (R7000) replaced an old "draft - N" D-Link DIR-655 that served me well for many many years. This upgrade provided 5 GHz and AC bands and has significantly increased my wireless speeds. Setup was simple and straightforward and has been up and running for over a month without the need to reboot. A great wireless router overall!!

I was leaning towards the Asus RT-AC68U but it looked like lots or reviewers had problems that appear to be heat related. So I went for the Netgear as a second choice. Now I'm so glad I got the Netgear. It is stable (couple of months now) and very fast. Maybe Asus has better software, but the Netgear did not leave me wanting in any aspect. I especially liked the ease of setting up Open DNS. If you are concerned about kids internet safety, this is a great feature. It also supports a guest network, media server, and a host of other features. Range is great, and did mention that it is fast... Would buy this one again!

I replaced a router that was dropping my connections, needed almost weekly reboots for internet access and had performance issues with multiple users. This router was easy to setup and works great! I have not had to reboot this since I purchased it over 8 months ago!

IMO, netgear has always made excellent routers. I've used them for over 20 years and not had an issue I couldn't fix. Great AC range and speed.
