I got this nighthawk router during the black Friday sales and it has been amazing. I had read good reviews on it and based on that decided to try it for myself. The initial setup is rather simple. It has really good instructions to follow and setting up passwords and networks was no sweat. It has amazing range, I have it in my living room and reaches the entire house and front and back yard. Haven't had any crashes or problems since getting it so I can say it's pretty reliable. I recommend anybody wanting to get a router for gaming to chose this one.

Bought this router for use with my 1 gig internet connection. It has worked wonderfully, handling an Xbox One, Xbox 360, 32 inch smart TV, chrome book, iPad, and 2 iPhones at the same time without any lag. 2.4g band has a range far exceeding my expectations.

I opted for the Nighthawk as opposed to having the AC1200 Netgear and an extender. The speed is great, the one drawback is the range. I wish it was a bit further, but still is easily about 100ft going through lots of walls. Might upgrade to the top line Nighthawk for the range...

For the money, this is probably the best router out there. I am prone to over research everything I purchase and with no exception I researched this router to death. Of course, there may be better routers and I was thinking about buying a $400 one but after all is said and done, this router was a better router when compared with the price and features I needed. Backup drive, good software interface, easy setup, range, speed, etc. It has it all and for a steal. I have had no problems with the router, it works flawlessly. I would recommend it highly.

I purchased this WiFi router to replace an older one. The signal strength is good but could be better. I have not had to reset it at all, it just works like it's supposed to. A little pricey but should last long enough to get my money's worth out of it. I would recommend it.

Excellent product for the price. Does lack a bit in the setup instructions. Example: I wanted to have another "Name" for the router. But wasn't clear if I could change the default or not without causing a problem. Range, reception, and signal strength are superb.

After going round and round with my old Belking router, I gave up on updates on it. The Nighthawk was a quick install, and linking it to my Range extender gave me 5 bars at my TV in the other end of the house. It is as advertised!

Bought this router after installation of new internet service. Old router could not transmit strong enough Wi-Fi signal to my home office upstairs and at other corner of the house. Hard-wire Ethernet wiring was not a practical option for me so Wi-Fi had to work well. My best Buy sales rep was very knowledgable and recommended the Netgear Nighthawk. It was easy to install and I was able to receive strong constant Wi-Fi signal with little to no loss in advertised speed of my service provider. The Netgear Genie software also provides outstanding networking diagnostic information. Very satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend the Netgear Nighthawk dual band 4-port router.

Needed a more effective wifi router to handle up to 12 gadgets and a serious gamer in large Sq ft area. So far it's up to the challenge and is handling the load well. I like the netgear genie that allows me to see whose logged in at any given time.

It was an easy set up. The wifi is super fast and handled four counsels (3 ps4's and an Xbox one) gaming online at the same time with no issues. My boyfriend and his friends really enjoy it.

Sales staff was very helpful, and did not try to over sell. The router works like a charm; much better than previous router. I use this router for the web and security cameras that are 230 ft away. I found this router has great range, and speed.

This Nighthawk dual band router works very well for general purpose applications like printing, Internet access and streaming shows for TV. The 5GH mode provides excellent speed for all of these purposes, and the wireless coverage is excellent.

Upgraded to this router and the range is much better than our last one. This has the standard 2.4ghz and the newer 5.0 frequencies and we have no complaints. We are on cable internet and the speed wirelessly has been right on!

I bought this router having Arlo camera support in mind. After installing, I learnt the firmware supporting Arlo was removed. Despite such problem, the strong signal and speed of this router convinced me to keep it. Now I do not need a signal extender anymore. I get full signal in every corner of my house. In addition, streaming to my 4K television solved a few problems I was complaining about. Waiting for movies to show on TV is gone. There are no interruptions while watching TV. We are very happy with this purchase. It is an outstanding router.

'bundled' modem/router from cable provider required constant adjusting to keep speed levels up and from dropping vpn connection for home office, plus range would suffer through even one level of hinge - this product hasn't failed me once - speed has never faltered, range goes through every level of house (and quite literally down the block as well...) and setup/login was incredibly easy. I'd recommend to anyone who is sick of dealing with subpar networking equipment...

I purchased this router as my previous router would not reach all corners of my 2,100 sq ft house. This router was able to reach all of the rooms with a fairly strong signal throughout and I have been very pleased thus far.

Works better than expected. I have 4 smart TVs and 2 gaming consoles running all day with no lag. And a few phones using WiFi. The range is also good. 2200 sqft home two story’s an d also have security cameras working 24/7

High range , full coverage of a large place , great deal

Bought this to replace the wifi that was built into my modem due to it acting up every week, Easy to set up, easy to learn how to secure the wifi network, Also faster wifi speeds over what I was used to for the last few years, This router is for my apartment unit and gives it full signal all around it as well as the ability to access wifi out in the hallway of my floor. Desktop and IOS app to monitor the network are easy to use as well. I am now certain that my future routers will be Netgear Nighhawks.

I bout this router not know what to expect, and I went above my expectation.. faster then any router I ever had. and gave me long range as well... not having any problems with it and had it for about a month. fingers crossed. but I love it
